Lead Systems Administrator/Network Specialist
Paladina Health is seeking a technically accomplished Lead Systems Administrator/Network Specialist to join the team at our corporate headquarters in Downtown Denver! This individual will work in a fast-paced, startup environment and play an integral role, leading, designing, building, and supporting our healthcare technology platform.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of IT mission critical systems, administering and maintaining the company's IT Systems and support functions including administration, maintenance, and configuration of Active Directory, Exchange / Office 365, local area networks, wide area networks, firewalls, virtual private networks, servers, and connectivity of clients.
- Manage/supervise team members including system administrators and technical support.
- Analyzes the needs of departments, communicates maintenance windows and outages, establishes priorities for system design and implementation, recommends and implements network/server changes, ensures uptime for all systems and maintains and enforces IT policies and standards.
- Manage the help desk function and ensure oversight and responsibility for issue tracking and resolution, and adherence to SLAs.
- The role also supports/administers/configures a system environment such as servers, routers, switches, circuits, firewalls, and wireless.
- Work with and manage cloud hosting vendors, such as Azure, AWS, and Rackspace.
- Lead team in establishing standard operations activities and procedures.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices.
- Technical capabilities in the IT infrastructure design space.
- Core Windows/IT technologies: Active Directory, DNS, Network file sharing, server OS deployment and configuration, PowerShell, virtualization, system hardening, and security patch management.
- Experience deploying and supporting cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or Rackspace.
- TCP/IP knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
- Networking, routing, remote, VPN, and firewall configuration.
- Passion for learning new things, building relationships and working on a team.
- Performance analysis, installation and tuning of the infrastructure including hardware, operating systems and applications.
- Conduct timely and accurate upgrades, patches, support, and configuration management in accordance with change and release management processes.
- Coach and mentor team members to ensure adequate training and knowledge sharing.
- Build meaningful metrics and reports to show health of various systems, and SLA adherence.
- Document and maintain system administration processes and procedures.
- Think creatively and independently to troubleshoot and devise solutions to solve complex problems.
- Participate in on-call rotation as necessary.
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise disaster recovery solutions in hosted and virtual environments.
ABOUT YOU:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Experience:
- 8+ years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
- 4+ years of managing/supervisor staff.
- Required: Experience with Windows Server 2008-2016, Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, Networking, Cloud hosting environments such in Azure, AWS, or Rackspace.
- Certifications: MCSE
- Nice to have: CCNA/CCNP
