AMP Robotics is hiring a Production Team Lead who is responsible for leading and directing his/her crew in the safe execution of the daily production plan and associated support activities scheduled in their process area of responsibility. In addition to being an integral member of the assembly team, the PTM is ultimately responsible and accountable for their respective team’s performance in safety, quality, delivery and productivity. The PTL will be responsible to ensure their team’s compliance and efforts in support of the AMP Robotics safety and quality standards and will proactively address challenges that would compromise the safety of our employees, the quality or reliability of our products, the adherence to weekly production schedules and will ensure efficient and appropriate utilization of resources. The PTL, at all times, will emphasize a positive, inclusive environment, which fosters team member safety, collaboration, accountability and ownership.
In addition to the Assembly Technician duties below, as the Production Team Lead, you will work to:
Leadership
- Sets an example as an AMP Robotics ambassador and role model in terms of behaviors showing focus on AMPs core values and living above the line. Shows high degree of accountability, collaboration, honesty, initiative, integrity, drive, reliability and trustworthiness. Fosters a positive, harassment free work environment for all team members.
- Must be viewed as a natural leader and someone who can build high-performance teams inspiring performance and the very best from all members of the process team. Fosters participation, ownership and collaboration by encouraging area team members involvement, soliciting input on process improvements and utilizing team member ideas as much as possible.
Safety
- The PTL will set an example, at all times, with regards to safe behavior, hazard recognition, and incident prevention. They will go out of their way to ensure themselves and other team members are safe and will actively support an incident free culture and mindset. The PTL will work to ensure the team’s full compliance of all established safety rules, policies, and practices are met and will train new team members on our expectations regarding safety.
Quality
- Ensures process area teams adherence to all quality standards and specifications. Ensures teams execution to all work instructions as outlined in operational method sheets and Technical Specs and leads/participates in root cause/corrective actions when deviations in quality occurs.
Administrative
- Ensures and is responsible to maintain good housekeeping standards through 5S concepts and practices in assigned process area. Is responsible to teach and develop team’s adherence to factory 5S standards.
Supervisory
- Provides day-to-day direction to team members in assigned area but no direct supervisory role. Provides team member performance feedback to Supervisor/Manager for use in personnel evaluations.
As our Assembly Technician you will work to:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly drawings, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Assembles components and complex subassemblies by examining connections for correct fit; appropriately fastened parts and proper functionality.
- Verifies adherence to specifications by testing/measuring completed component.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Administers supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; requesting and/or placing and orders for supplies; verifying receipt.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed and assisting others to accomplish overall goals.

Production Team Leads must demonstrate the following strengths and competencies:
- Advanced understanding and experience with various hand and power tools including wrenches, torque drivers, drills, saws, screwdrivers and sockets, tape measures, wire cutters and crimpers.
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, sheetmetal, welded structure, machined components, fasteners, etc.
- Self-starter, high degree of initiative

Qualifications:
- Minimum (1) year experience in process area required or previous leadership experience as Team Lead, Supervisor or equivalent. Internal candidate should be performing at or above expectations according to performance and behavior feedback and should not have any open/active warnings or performance improvement plans. Education/Experience:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 3-5 years years related experience / training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required in assembly, electrical, mechanical, assembly or manufacturing.
Language Ability:
- The ability to read and interpret documents (operating / maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, engineering drawings), generate routine reports / correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees is required.
Math Ability:
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.
Reasoning Ability:
- The ability to apply logic necessary to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
Computer Skills:
- The ability to use the basic functionality included in the Microsoft Office Application Suite and AMPs proprietary or subscribed-to computer applications used for managing or tracking production-related activities (ex. time tracking, material transactions) is required.

Salary & Compensation Information: $23.00 to $26.92 an hour
Benefits Information:
Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents.
