You are an up and coming IT professional looking for an opportunity to break into systems support and systems administration. You have a foundation in Windows systems support and are interested in leveraging you support experience to grow and develop your skills as a systems administrator. In this role, based in Broomfield, CO, you will participate in all server patch releases, improving efficiency and stability of current systems. As a Junior System Administrator, you will work as part of a team who is responsible for Windows/Linux, Patch & Vulnerability Remediation and will work in the areas of security, compliance and server management. In this job you will:

  • Maintain a company-wide Patch Policy
  • Understand security vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to policies
  • Asset management experience with tools and processes
  • Document issues and associated resolutions to problems
  • Test Windows/Linux security patch packages
  • Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibility
  • Participate in technical On-Call rotation
  • Ongoing maintenance & administration of assigned systems
  • Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibility
  • Assistance with execution of projects related to areas of responsibility

You bring to the table:

  • 1-2 years IT experience
  • Associates Degree required or related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and engineering
  • Keen interest in keeping up with latest technology trends
  • Experience with OS Upgrades (Windows & Linux) and Patches across all distributed server domains
  • Able to work well under pressure and within short time constraints
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight
  • This role will require working across different time zones.
