Information Technology (IT) Specialist

We help colleges and universities grow – through building online programs to extend their reach to students all over the world.  Elsmere is headquartered in the Cherry Creek area of Denver and works with select universities around the country on online programs and other growth initiatives.  Elsmere Education manages the strategy, marketing, recruiting, program development and retention efforts for its partner universities.  With relationships defined by transparency, Elsmere Education is relatively small but growing quickly – ground floor opportunity to be part of something big.

We are currently seeking our next IT Specialist.  The IT Specialist will report to the Director of Technology and will play a key role in the administration and optimization of all EEI systems and technologies. The IT Specialist must possess a strong technical background, ability to communicate well with technical and functional employees and stakeholders, and the capacity to  effectively and simultaneously manage a variety of systems and technology-related tools.  

Key Duties and Responsibilities for our IT Specialist

  • Manage organizational systems/technologies (i.e. - Office 365, Dropbox/OneDrive, internal instant messaging tool, and others)
  • Provide technical support and administration for all organizational users and related laptops, printers, routers, company mobile phones, and other hardware
  • Assist with various hardware/software implementations and required updates
  • Ensure user compliance with EEI Data Privacy and Security policy
  • Maintain standard employee on-boarding and off-boarding procedures
  •  Assist the Director of Technology in optimization and administration of end-user operational tools and software (Salesforce CRM, telephony solution, etc.)

Key Qualifications for our IT Specialist  

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (ideally in a technology-related field)
  • 1-3 years professional information technology experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot networking, hardware, and infrastructure issues
  • Passion for education and helping people achieve their goals
  • Consultative approach in supporting functional teams and user groups
  • Keen interest in learning new things – ability to share what you have learned and teach others
  • Willingness to learn – EEI is adding new technologies regularly and is seeking a candidate that is interested in learning and administering them
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM (and other CRM systems) preferred
