IT Portfolio Manager

In this role, you will actively build and manage Project Portfolios, and act as a liaison for the stakeholders across the IT Organization. You will play a critical role in not only effectively managing deliverables but also building relationships. Responsibilities:
Defines and develops IT project/program management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Has shared responsibility for IT project delivery. Works with CIO and IT Leadership team to plan and manage the IT project portfolio
Holds team members accountable for project deadlines and delivery of benefits. Monitors project planning and execution on key dimension of cost, schedule, resources, risks and issues.
Develops and maintains overall milestone tracking tools for all key projects.
Provide timely communication, coordination, updates and tracking regarding project Business Case submission, project forecasting, and project performance
Communicate project and portfolio status to CIO, IT leadership and executive leadership through steering committees, oral and written reports
Develops and implements project portfolio management processes and tools. Partners with IT leadership to locate opportunities to develop and prioritize projects according to relevant measurement criteria.
Develops and operates resource tracking processes and tools for IT employees.
Develops and operates internal reporting systems to track costs associated with all IT projects.
Partner with IT Leadership to ensure that all projects within IT are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements.
Participates in the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the IT organization
Communicate openly and often with IT staff to resolve problems and obstacles, provide resources, reset direction and maximize effective interactions and functioning.
Works with the IT leadership team to assist in the planning and implementation and follow through of department objectives.
Experience/ Training:
BS, BA or equivalent degree or experience is required. An MBA or a closely related equivalent is highly desired.
A minimum of 4+ years of professional experience. Demonstrated increasing levels of responsibilities and decision-making is required.
Experience in IT project and IT program management.
Proven track record of demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.
Skills:
Solid knowledge of project accounting, resource planning and tracking.
Solid knowledge of the principles of project planning and budgeting.
Solid understanding of and management of program requirements and project documentation.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments.
Ability to analyze numerical information to identify trends and distinguish discrepancies and inaccuracies in prepared reports
Ability to communicate verbally and in written form on a one-to-one or group basis.
Ability to exhibit initiative to quickly learn and retain various cross discipline information within a relatively short time period.
Solid knowledge of the principles of project planning and budgeting.
Solid knowledge of communications to prepare and conduct public presentations

Base Salary Range in CO: $75,500 - $100,000
