POSITION SUMMARY:
ArcherDX's patented chemistry and powerful bioinformatics software have placed us at the bleeding edge of the fight against cancer and other genetic diseases. You'll join a multidisciplinary team focused on improving and maturing the Information System ecosystem.
ArcherDX has a unique opportunity for the right candidate to play a pivotal role in creating a culture of customer service and innovation for the department. The IT Application Systems Engineer will have the following roles:

  • Act as a Business Analyst and work across the organization with many different departments. In this role, the candidate will gather requirements, guide process mapping with various departments critical processes and help guide software validation initiatives.
  • Act as a System Analyst. This role will work across IT and various business units to bring a common mindset for software implementation and identifying future goals. The selected candidate will work with system stakeholders, including internal users, customers, and investigators to ensure that our platforms provide an outstanding user experience.
  • Act as a Systems Engineer. This candidate will also have the opportunity to act as the systems engineer role in which they will be tasked with building/implementing/configuring the technical design of assigned applications based upon the designated business requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Leveraging technology to help reduce manual tasks and continually improve on the company’s requirements process by utilizing best practices, consistent configuration and or implementation of technologies.
  • Defining, reviewing, executing, and ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures related to Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and qualification of infrastructure components.
  • Coordinating project-specific CSV efforts, including assistance with coordinating execution of the test plan, assembling testing results into a validation package, and addressing concerns and findings raised by quality assurance personnel.
  • Updating and maintaining documentation to be compliant with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) in business processes in the area of responsibility. Lead efforts to reengineer and optimize business processes and applications.
  • Lead, identify, design and implement IT applications to meet business process requirements.
  • Demonstrate a strong bias to configure commercially available “off the shelf” applications. Design, configure, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of business process and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness.
  • Document and develop in-depth knowledge of applications and interfaces used to support business process.
  • Dedicated to quality client service and pro-active and responsive to client needs.
  • Continual analysis of changing business and customer needs and planning organizational or system changes to address needs.
  • Recommends changes to own area that will improve overall effectiveness of operations.
  • Maintains constructive relationships with customers and business entities served and ensures such relationships exist throughout the organization.
  • Troubleshoots problems and develops bridge-building solutions that improve client relationships.
  • Understands business processes and designs solutions that foremost address the business problem.
  • Promotes Project Management methodology and techniques providing structure and guidance to others to reach established goals.
  • May serve on or lead committees, task forces and other inter-departmental teams.
  • Monitors and assesses operating results and creates and/or modifies process for continuous improvements.
  • Participates in the development of specifications and ongoing management of proposals and contracts for hardware, software and services.
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with ArcherDX HIPAA Security policies and procedures.
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of protected health information and European Union personal data.
  • Willingness to travel to local offices up to 10% of the time.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an IT systems analysis or IT application integration specialist that has focused on IT systems implementations/configurations through the use of business process mapping and requirement gathering.
  • Familiar with COTS software which may include Atlassian Confluence, Microsoft O365 E3 and E5 offerings, Electronic Document signing solutions, workflow and/or CRM type solutions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate attention to end goal.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with customers, identifying/understanding their needs, and formally documenting business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and qualification of infrastructure components.
  • Must have a focus of customer service and the drive to create and foster a culture of innovation, inclusiveness and transparency.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business processes, troubleshooting issues, root cause analysis and suggesting and configuring solutions that foremost address the business problems.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve service offerings, operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to help internal customers.
  • Strong background in developing and maintaining effective internal IT processes.
  • Familiar with ITIL practices such as change, configuration, and/or knowledge management is a plus.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered
