The Opportunity
OrthoFi is building a world class team that is committed to wowing customers at every opportunity. We are looking for an Insurance Operations Leader that is excited to join a fast-paced startup in hyper-growth mode. The Insurance Operations Leader will report to the Vice President of Operations and will be responsible for delivering world class service to our clients by realizing the strategy for how OrthoFi partners with and supports Orthodontic staff, doctors, and patients using OrthoFi’s Insurance services. We are looking for someone who is a passionate leader, someone who inspires others to grow and exceed! This person will be able to establish efficient processes and procedures while connecting team members to OrthoFi’s vision of being the global leader in enabling elective healthcare providers to grow their practices.
Within 1 Month You Will: Learn!
- Attend our new hire orientation training, learn our OrthoFi software and the claims tools and processes
- Learn and understand OrthoFi’s Vision and Mission and how our Objectives and Key Results help to achieve them
- Become accustomed to claims systems, tools, processes and procedures
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with partners in Product, Engineering to build a holistic understanding of OrthoFi’s insurance service
- Partner with OrthoFi’s OrthoSuccess team to understand our customer and how we define world class service delivery
Within 2 Months You Will
- Collaborate and lead cross functionally with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs that ensure claims processes are built in an efficient and effective manner
- Develop leadership team into effective coaches, capable of teaching both hard and soft skills
- Create a cohesive team and service culture that will have a positive impact on OrthoFi’s goals and objectives and external customer satisfaction metrics such as Net Promoter Score
- Responsible for the successful delivery of Orthofi’s Insurance Services to meet/exceed our SLA commitments
Within 3 Months You Will
- Drive specific claims processes and utilize Revenue Cycle Management best practices to ensure timely claims processing and payments
- Work with Insurance Companies to streamline interaction points between our team and theirs
- Develop reporting to clearly articulate the performance of the team while also demonstrating insurance A/R collections success to clients
- Maintain insurance policies and procedures that are in compliance with legal, contractual, and ethical best practices
- Manage and update team budgets which includes staffing and capacity models for growing teams
- Drive continuous improvement ideas to improve service delivery of the team, creates excitement, and enhances the Orthofi brand
- Promote a team environment that challenges and rewards individual and team results
- Provide tactical oversight and leadership while also driving the strategy of the overall team
Skill Set
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 7+ years experience in an operations and or call center environment
- Prior experience in healthcare, revenue cycle management and/or insurance claims processing
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and active listening
- In depth knowledge of insurance best practices
- Experienced with MS Office and/or Google Docs
- Ability to adapt and change quickly
- Expert communicator and analytical thinker
