We are looking for an experienced Instructional Designer & Developer that has the desire and drive to make a difference across the entire organization. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and fun manner. A successful candidate will be a tech-savvy enthusiast ready to take on the challenge and wear multiple hats, playing the role of facilitator, innovator, researcher and developer. You will challenge learners’ understanding through relevant activities, author measurable learning objectives, and develop materials that promote transfer, retention, and application. New ideas and creative minds welcome! This position is based out of our lovely downtown Denver office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs
Work with manager to draft Key Learning Objectives and create content that matches them
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Create Trainer Guides and visual presentations
Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
Maintain project documentation and course folders
Manage and maintain LMS content as well as external facing knowledge base content
Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
Skills & Experience:
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
Apply knowledge of course development software and be familiar with Learning Management Systems
Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Abode Creative Suite) and ability to storyboard
Knowledge and experience in creating both Instructor-led training as well as virtual/web-based trainings
Ability to write effective curricula, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
BS degree or certification in instructional design, educational technology, or similar
Facilitation and trainer experience a HUGE plus
