We are looking for an IT Manager to help lead our fast-growing company. A successful Information Technology (IT) Manager at Wurk will partner with our IT staff and other departments to maintain and expand all hardware, support, internal software/solutions and other technological tasks and issues. The IT Manager will be responsible for developing network maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budgets, establishing solution roadmaps to optimize our teams ability to operate and deliver outstanding customer service, managing the IT staff and keeping the executive team up to date on the latest networking technologies that could help the company to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes. Monitor changing network technology and deliver a technology update to the leadership team at least quarterly.
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
  • Assess vendors and develop maintenance and test strategies for hardware, software, IT inventory and other IT systems.
  • Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs while optimizing security and network efficiency.
  • Responsible for creating and administering security and disaster plans that will keep the company protected beyond industry standards and functional in the event of a crisis.
  • Determine the rationale and methods for upgrading company software programs each time an update is released.
  • Proactively manage the company software solutions to eliminate redundancy and optimize utilization.
  • Research and resolve unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.


Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in information technology management.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent project management, problem solving and communication skills required.
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
  • Take direction well and be a motivated self-starter.
  • Must be open and excited to learn new technologies.
  • Be customer service-oriented and learn techniques to best serve our team and clients.
  • Startup experience preferred.
