About the team:

The FIS Government Solutions team (EBT) owns and manages a product called ebtEDGESM which is a full-fledged Electronic Benefit Transfer solution that helps US  States to manage their EBT program to distribute Food and Cash benefits to underprivileged citizens. This product has multiple components built and maintained on various technologies and continuously being enhanced to meet the Customer needs as well as the current industry trends ,practices and regulations. Our development and support teams leverages both agile and waterfall models to develop and deploy applications into Customer environments. We are looking for talented resources to be part of this dynamic team that will grow with the growth of the solution.

Job Description:

FIS is looking for a candidate with the following skillsets (must have’s)

3+ years of experience in supporting HP Nonstop applications and operations. Proficient in Pathway servers ,Netbatch , Nonstop SQL  and Enscribe Programming experience in COBOL ,C/C++ on HP Nonstop platform. Excellent SQL querying skills Experience in the role of Production support / 24 X 7 on- call / DevOps in supporting an application used by 1000s of users. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and Customer service skills Willingness to learn and highly result oriented.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop Programs on HP nonstop environment  as per requirements with very high quality standards.

  • Troubleshoot ,analyze  and fix the production bugs

  • Analyze the requirement , prepare detail design ,identify the areas impacted.

  • Available for on-call support

  • Work closely with business and product groups, Project manager , Change management , QC/certification teams , Production control and customer service teams on need basis.

  • Acquire high level knowledge on all areas of product and understand the dependencies.

  • Good team player and ability to collaborate well with other team members.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Financial technology back ground (credit/debit cards , transaction processing etc.)

  • Exposure to multiple technologies such as IBM mainframes or Open systems  and programming languages.

  • Experience in various file transmission utilities :FTP/SFTP ,NDM etc.

  • Ease with modern data analysis tools and  text editors  (Eg: Notepad++, MS excel, Tableau)

  • Familiar with various software development models such as Waterfall or scrum/agile processes.

  • Knowledge of FIS products and processes
