As the Head of Technology for the ShapeShift Foundation, you will provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of ShapeShift’s decentralization and open-source efforts. You will communicate with community members, contributors, stakeholders, and users. You are not the boss of the community, but rather its most respected technical leader, earned through your collaborative efforts. You will oversee the open-source development, cultivating a culture of transparency and merit-based participation. You will ensure the safe and productive  open sourcing of all of ShapeShift’s production platform and mobile code. The ultimate goal of this position will be to lead ShapeShift’s global software platform into a successful decentralized model.


  • Leader of ShapeShift’s open-source technology
  • Collaborate with crypto application developers all around the world
  • Ensure safe and productive open-source development among a thriving and passionate community
  • Set the Foundation’s strategy for building an immutable, borderless crypto interface
  • Develop and maintain high technical standards 
  • Change how the world organizes economic activity around mutual incentivization


  • Expert in open source software leadership
  • Highly proficient in security best-practices, such as PGP, 2FA, and infrastructure security.
  • Experience in Community Development 
  • Experience fostering a decentralized, global community
  • Proficiency with cutting-edge distributed technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, excels in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work with very little external guidance toward a shared community vision.
