You'll report to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and be responsible for leading the development, implementation, ongoing improvement, and coordination of a vendor risk management program. You'll oversee a team of five and lead the efforts in researching and implementing best-in-class vendor risk management practices, tools, and methodologies to improve the understanding and communication of risk. You'll be tasked to develop and train a Business Unit Liaison network to provide visibility and oversight of critical vendors and projects. You'll take ownership of partnerships and relationships with various business units and report on potential vendor risks and opportunities. You'll work with the business to develop and enhance vendor risk mitigation plans and create and provide regular reporting & readouts for risk or senior management committee and board meetings.

For such a critical role, you will need to have a healthy number of years of relevant experience, either in enterprise risk, operational risk, risk control, audit, or similar discipline. This experience will need to be within the financial services industry and has given you exposure in interacting with leaders of all levels, including C-suite. You will need to be a university graduate or equivalent from a related discipline, and a further professional qualification or master's degree would be advantageous. A comprehensive understanding of operations, governance, vendor risk management is a must. You will need to have experience in developing and implementing effective risk assessment and governance programs and have the ability to assess and articulate risk to multiple business functions. Having prior experience working with teams across various locations and the ability to influence leaders to understand risk is essential. Previous experience of agile working methodologies is also desirable.

Overall on-target earnings $195,000 - $250,000. This amount includes base salary $140,000 - $180,000 and both short-term (20% of base pay) and long-term (20% of base pay) incentives. The overall earnings represent the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and will be based on several factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. Further information will be provided on the short- and long-term incentive programs which are determined on both individual and company performance.
