ABOUT US
Craft Alley is a retail liquor technology startup located in Denver Colorado comprised of two separate business units: technology and retail.
Our technology unit creates online ordering, inventory management and order fulfillment software that empowers liquor stores to grow their businesses.
Our retail unit sells alcohol to adults in the Denver metro area using the technology that we develop.
Our retail liquor store, Craft Alley, carries the largest, freshest selection of Colorado Craft Beer in the state, has great traction with a loyal customer base, and is growing rapidly.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Craft Alley’s retail unit is moving to a much larger, more centrally located space near downtown Denver.
As part of the move, we will be vastly expanding our selection of Wine & Spirits products.
We have identified the need for a General Manager - Retail position, which will be a key leader on our team, responsible for all of Craft Alley’s Retail operations, and helping us launch this new location with an expanded product line.
GENERAL MANAGER POSITION OVERVIEW
The General Manager will oversee day to day operations, establish & track KPIs, and manage Craft Alley’s Retail P&L.
Key functions will include purchasing, inventory management, staff training & management, and marketing.
Ultimately, the General Manager is responsible for growing the bottom line of the retail unit and will be given the latitude to drive the business unit’s strategy.
The General Manager will report directly to the CEO and become a key stakeholder of the technology team.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
We are looking for a well-versed, confident, open minded individual that fits within the fabric of our down-to-earth, goal oriented team.
The GM should be a natural leader that leads through respect and the example of their own hard work.
The best applicant will have risen as an emergent leader through the ranks in a Food & Beverage environment or other Hospitality Industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Operations Management: 5 years (Required)
Budget / P&L Management
Deep product knowledge in Wine & Spirits strongly preferred
Must be reliable and responsible.
Must work well in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Experience in delivering in a multi-channel environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Weekends may be required, Evenings may be required
Minimum of 45 hours per week
