Alteryx is searching for a Gainsight Administrator in our Irvine, CA office or REMOTE.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Gainsight Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have the right mix of business analysis skills and passion for leveraging existing functionality or developing custom solutions on both the Gainsight and Salesforce platforms. This role will work with representatives from the Customer Success department to build and maintain processes and manage the data relating to them.
Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and deploy solutions supporting Alteryx business processes on Gainsight platform
  • Primary focus is Gainsight, Salesforce Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Implementation
    • Responsible for the architecture and configuration of their environment
    • Coordinate internally to help identify the sources, metrics, frequency, and granularity of their data
    • Configure and deploy Gainsight and Salesforce to internal customers (including system configuration, external integrations, reports, dashboards and workflows)


Business Processes

  • Partner with cross functional departments to learn business needs and how it may impact Gainsight and Salesforce
  • Identify which processes to rollout and when
  • Analyze requirements to determine appropriate solution designs considering capabilities, limitations, and design trade-offs
  • Support business strategy development for the services teams and manage mapping, documenting and implementing CS processes
  • Document implementation considerations (triggers, Visualforce pages, test code, validation rules, record types, page layouts, and workflow)
  • Help determine the most significant contributors to overall customer health, and learn how to configure a customer health scorecard that reflects your customer data.
  • Develop a keen understanding of Alteryx's sources of risk (of churn) as well as positive trends.
  • Design business rules that analyze customer data, and trigger actions for the customer success team to proactively engage with customers
  • Determine when it is appropriate to include custom application development or third-party application and identify the appropriate third-party products/applications to meet business requirements
  • With project manager, ensure solution development follows prescribed project management methodology
  • Coordinate, lead, setup, and document user acceptance tests to ensure the quality of developed solutions prior to production deployment (includes creating test plans)
  • Create and maintain documentation of all application integrations and all custom development
  • Work with Enterprise Data Architect to ensure the quality and integrity of Salesforce data


Maintenance and Support

  • Manage user accounts, groups and security settings in Gainsight and Salesforce
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiencies through development and adoption of best practices and standardized procedures
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, and user activity to make recommendations on continuous improvements
  • Helps prepare the Customer Success team to roll out additional processes or functionality.
  • Provides day-to-day end user support to all levels of the organization
  • Research and advise on best practices for Salesforce solutions
  • Remain current on Salesforce best practices, technologies, and certifications
  • Work with consultants and/or offshore resources in support of Salesforce development work


Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying business process applications on the Gainsight platforms
  • Understanding of Customer Success
  • Competency in gathering and documenting business requirements
  • Direct experience managing projects incorporating various Gainsight technologies including workflows, assignment rules, custom fields Importer and Dataloader
  • Basic and functional knowledge of APEX Triggers, APEX Classes and Visualforce Pages
  • 3+ years of Gainsight administration
  • Experience using integrated development environments (IDE)
  • Experience managing deployment and understanding deployment best practices
  • Understanding of multi-currency in Salesforce Opportunities
  • Familiar with software development life cycle methodologies
  • Experience with User Roles, Security, Profiles, and user hierarchy in support of Salesforce functionality
  • Working knowledge of visual layout, workflow rules and business logic to streamline and enhance business processes and improve user experience
  • Background integrating marketing automation platform with Salesforce (Marketo a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and complex problem-solving capabilities
  • Clear communicator with excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to understand business requirements and translate them to effective use of applications
  • Confidence in advocating for best practices
  • Excellent critical thinking skills; is able to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through optimal solution


Valued Skills:

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer or equivalent a plus
  • Salesforce Certified System Administrator and Certified Advanced System Administrator
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Clouds and Service Cloud a plus
  • Background in SDLC/Agile development a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or Accounting, or equivalent experience

Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Irvine, CA is $97,300 - $165,400. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
