What you will be doing
You will receive and direct visitors, employment applicants, salespersons and customers to appropriate destination. Typically operates a single or multiple position telephone system.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Maintains visitors log and issues badges when necessary.• Notifies personnel of visitor arrival.• May perform related clerical work such as word processing.• May use company intranet, paging or other computer-based systems.• Additional duties may include filing, sorting, mail distribution and completing special clerical projects.• Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner.• May maintain payroll records by totaling hours worked/exception hours, vacation days, sick days, etc.• May maintain files on correspondence, clients, reports and other records by inserting new documents and disposing of outdated material.• Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring
High school diploma or GED
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES• Knowledge of general office operations and procedures and use of office equipment and associated software required by job• Ability to maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information, process mail, answer telephone, type and perform word processing• Skill in classifying and assembling file materials, organizing and completing distribution of materials in a timely manner• Ability to complete assignments, ask questions on assignments and escalate issues• Problem solving and effective communications skills as well as ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
