Summary:

Zipcar is looking for a qualified individual to join our Fleet department as a Fleet Associate. As part of the Zipcar Fleet team you will contribute to the cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of our entire fleet.

Responsibilities:

Works with other Fleet Team members under the guidance of the Fleet Manager
Drives Zipcar’s to various locations for cleaning, maintenance, or return to site
Addresses and updates triggers, system events and car history
Evaluates car condition, and escalates issues, as needed
Performs light maintenance functions such as swapping control boxes and changing tires
Prepares cars for in-fleeting and de-fleeting
Walks, uses bicycle and/or public transportation for travel to and from Zipcar sites
May hang signage or replenish collateral materials at Zipcar sites
May clean in and around the parking spaces and signage as well as snow removal where necessary
Attention to Detail/ Cleanliness
Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:

High school diploma or equivalency
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to carry collateral materials and displays
Mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills
Flexible to work various shifts, as assigned
Must pass Zipcar driving history requirements, pre-employment background check and drug screen
Interpersonal skills—the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly
Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
