Position Description
An effective Facilities and Environment Specialist within the People & Culture team is responsible for overall management of day to day operations of the facilities team. This position will play a key role in managing all new and existing office openings and closures for the entire organization by maintaining vendor relationships, tracking/forecasting project costs, and communicating updates to both leaders and employees.
This role will also assist the Sr. Manager Facilities and Environment with any facilities related issues in order to support a safe and collaborative office environment. The right candidate will possess advanced analytical and decision management skills in order to drive business strategy. This role will have a real impact and enjoy visibility into many of Zayo’s key efforts and interactions that support office culture, collaboration, and community.
*Please note we're open to this position being a remote role; however, given the nature of this role with corporate headquarters in Boulder/Denver, CO, our ideal candidate will work from the Boulder/Denver, CO area in a hybrid capacity (some days remote/some days in the offices).
Responsibilities
Manage all new and existing office openings for the entire organization, including, but not limited to, project management of vendor relations, tracking project costs, and developing updates (as needed) to leadership and employees.
Identify and execute any potential office closures in order to drive Company savings.
Develop and forecast budget for the Facilities organization - tracking maintenance and vendor costs, and identifying any areas for budget savings.
Develop, manage, and create all Powerpoint presentations, reports, and templates based on data analytics per project specification/ assignment.
Assist with all facilities, and upgrades to support a safe, collaborative, and productive office environment.
Maintain an effective communication flow with cross-functional teams (Real Estate, HR, IT/Security, etc.) to ensure all parties perform as a cohesive unit.
Key contact for all employee communication and highlights related to office updates/ closures/ and openings, specifically for HQ (Boulder, Denver, Tulsa, and Canada).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent communicator; willing to write, speak, and communicate with all levels of organization.
Proficient with Microsoft Office-especially Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Ability to take data and create reports, dashboards, presentations.
Ability to prioritize with strong time management and organizational skills.
Extreme attention to detail.
Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing requests in a professional manner.
CO pay range: $50,500-$70,665/annually
