This role has responsibility for partner relationships for the E&PD business line. The role will oversee strategy, operations and colleagues in a manner that ensures successful performance of partnerships with standards developing organizations (SDOs) worldwide.
With our mission to move up the value pyramid, this role will develop strategies and programs to deliver superior service and cultivate deeper engagement with SDOs in order to increase and differentiate the value of our partnerships. Essential is cultivating trust with our partners, earned through consistently striving to achieve their objectives, delivering on commitments, aligning with their strategy beyond content distribution. The overriding objective is to strengthen partner relationships by delivering value that advances the strategic imperatives of both of our organizations.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans that deliver meaningful new value to partners while delivering on expectations for the business
  • Recruit and coach talent to develop a team of high-performing partner relations managers that accel in both soft skills, such as managing high-trust relationships and developing creative strategies, as well as hard skills such as financial and business case analysis
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities ongoing for partner relations managers including the assignment of partner organizations
  • Collaborate with leaders across the business including product, sales, marketing, reporting, analytics, platform and pricing in exploring opportunities to expand the value of SDO partnerships
  • Define structure, process and templates for best practices that enable the partner relations team to consistently produce high quality partner business reviews and compelling proposals
  • Support the needs of the product, marketing, sales and pricing teams in developing, selling, renewing and supporting IHS Markit customers
  • Monitor market trends and partner organization strategies to identify potential threats and opportunities for our business in order to proactively contribute to the development of business line strategic planning
  • Communicate to the organization and produce periodic reports about the status, progress against objectives, business needs and opportunities associated with partner relations
  • Monitor and approve as appropriate various expenses in the daily operations of the business such as for travel and events
  • Serve as an ambassador for IHS Markit to the standards community


Requirements:

  • 8 years of people leadership experience
  • 5 years of experience in the standards industry
  • Highly professional, ethical and transparent
  • Demonstrated capability to develop and execute strategic plans
  • Proven track record of understanding partner and customer needs
  • Strong analytical skills as well as problem solving capabilities in a dynamic environment
  • Growth-minded leadership style creating a high-trust environment with focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the month (post covid)

  • For work locations in the state of Colorado, the anticipated minimum base salary for this role would be $138,072. Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the applicant.
