Guild is one of Denver’s fastest growing startups - increasing economic mobility for working adults in America and providing education and support to help every student survive and thrive in the economy of tomorrow. Our education benefits platform helps employers offer education as a benefit to their employees, and our network of nonprofit universities and education institutions helps provide every Guild student with the right academic pathway to advance their education and career. In order to achieve our mission to serve 1000s more students and accelerate our growth, we recently raised a $21M Series B round with top tier investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Social Capital, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures. Now, we’re looking to add an Executive Assistant to the team.

As the Executive Assistant at Guild, you’ll support a small team of executives in a female-founded, mission-driven company from our headquarters in Denver. We’ll look to you to help our executives manage internal and external relationships, with a focus on overseeing all scheduling, travel, logistics and coordination. You’ll also play a large internal role, helping manage the company’s key internal meetings and events. You’ll be a critical member of the team, making sure operations at Guild consistently run smoothly, and will work cross-functionally to drive results.

A day in our open, collaborative workspace might look like:

  • Managing calendars, drafting emails, coordinating meetings and video/conference calls, answering phone calls, and solving other administrative issues when they arise
  • Managing relationships via email and phone with external stakeholders at Guild, such as our board members, clients, university partners, and their admin staff
  • Creating documents, spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and any other materials you would need to support Guild and its leaders
  • Organizing and handling registrations, hotel and travel arrangements for offsite meetings, conferences, and seminars
  • Entering data and scanning documents
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams like Enrollment, University Partnerships, Academic Product, Financial Services, and Finance to support the Guild team and its leaders

In this role, you’ll expand your expertise by:

  • Learning the ins and outs of Guild as you use your organizational, multitasking, and problem solving skills to support Guild leaders
  • Implementing new innovative practices to enhance the success of the team and organization

You’ll know if you’re successful by:

  • Supporting Guild’s leaders through scheduling, coordinating, and solving problems, ultimately setting Guild and its leaders up for success
  • Bringing enthusiasm, flexibility, and patience to the role to a fast-paced, fun, and collaborative environment

You’ll join a team:

  • From diverse backgrounds – from traditional higher education, to athletic coaches, to politicians, to mental health professionals (and more!)
  • Of learners & problem-solvers dedicated to our dual mission of changing education in America while building a successful, high-growth company
  • Committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that you’d support every day

What you’ll add to Guild – as an individual and part of the broader team:

  • Passion for higher education and our mission – Guild is pioneering a new path for education as a benefit in a complicated and regulated space – success means quickly and effectively adapting your expertise
  • 2+ years of experience in similar or related roles supporting multiple leaders
  • Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, multitasking abilities, and a high level of attention-to-detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with clients
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Gmail
  • Experience in a startup or similar environment where there is frequent change and a need to demonstrate and act with a sense of urgency
  • A drive to work hard and plan for how you can refresh/recharge while working in a startup
  • Something else? Wonderful, we’re curious to learn more about you!
