Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager who is a master of event strategy, planning and coordination to manage all prospect, customer, and partner events. This role is responsible for managing our event strategy, with a keen focus on lead generation from tradeshow, strategic presence at partner events, and coordination of end-to-end large scale events such as our semi-annual user conferences and Dreamforce. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple events with ease and fluidity, while providing direction across cross-functional teams. You’ll orchestrate and be responsible for the numerous details required to pull flawless events together.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage all aspects of our Conga’s tradeshow, regional event, and partner events
  • Execute on all events from conception to completion, including coordination of resources, meetings, and feedback while diligently working to ensure all projects are on track, on time, and within budget
  • Solidify marketing strategy for events and conferences. Create new ideas that will make our event presence fun and memorable, identify event objectives, and manage event and promotional budgets
  • Research and compile pre-event data such as competitive events, partner marketing, targeted account territories, costs, speaking opportunities
  • Collaborate and communicate with key internal and external stakeholders and partners to determine requirements and hit deadlines
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and partner teams to promote events, drive registration, and ensure proper follow up with key leads and contacts. This includes creating compelling landing pages, drafting email copy, creating segmentation lists to identify eligible invitees, and driving promotion and follow up through multiple channels
  • Ensure timely execution and production of key deliverables for multiple events, including sponsorship deliverables, payment schedules, communication deadlines, etc
  • Continually optimize events to delight attendees, drive engagement and maximize revenue
  • Measure and report on event performance through agreed event KPIs
  • Travel for pre-planning meetings and to manage events
  • Manage show/event vendor relationships with hotels, convention centers, exhibit houses, labor, and organizations. Help us manage all the ‘stuff’ that goes along with events - booth properties, giveaways, etc

Qualifications

Most importantly you will have a track record of managing events in a fast-paced company experiencing growth with demonstrated experience managing large-scale successful B2B events. Additional qualifications include:

 

  • Have strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Have 3-5 years of event management experience
  • Be a high performance team player who can work cross functionally
  • Be agile and experimental, bringing new ideas to the team
  • Display a creative flare and ability to bring a remarkable event experience to life
  • Connect people through online and in-person experiences and programs
  • Be a self starter who is comfortable excelling in a fast-paced environment
  • Be a charismatic planner with a knack for relationship building, and ability to work cross-functionally across with internal teams, and with external vendors
  • Execute with keen attention to detail and accuracy
