The Event Coordinator will be responsible for working in lockstep with sales and marketing to execute in-person and digital event programs that drive revenue and increase brand awareness. You'll be responsible for organizing the materials, people, and promotions that create a great event.

This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, a key understanding of marketing events impact revenue generation, and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Event Coordinator will report to the Director of Demand Generation and will work closely with Marketing Team Members, Business Development Reps, Account Executives, and Account Managers. This position can be based in St. Paul, MN, Denver, CO, or Washington, D.C, but can primarily be remote.

Granicus is a remote first company (this isn't temporary). While we have virtual teams, you have the option for in-office work should you be located near one of our hubs.

What you will do: 

  • Responsible for management of the exhibit warehouse (3rd Party Vendor) and ownership of booth giveaways and other swag, collateral, and booth displays

  • Recommend, finalize, and ensure detailed tracking and adherence to budget set for all tradeshows and events.

  • Articulate clear outlines for all tradeshows and events, specifying how each show will meet the overall event goals set, show targets – including lead targets and communications plans for pre-, during, and post-show materials

  • Make recommendations to improve tradeshow processes for both in-person and virtual events and work with internal partners to ensure great events

  • Research and coordinate potential speaking opportunities and manage deadlines

  • Ensure a strong end-to-end lead process is in place and adhered to for all events and tradeshows

  • Oversee negotiation of event sponsorship contracts to ensure business goals are achieved, value for money is obtained, and any potential risk is minimized

  • Serve as the liaison with vendors, including communication on vendor standards/expectations prior to events, overseeing all booth orders

  • Evaluate third-party vendors to ensure best results and continuous high-quality outputs

  • Manage internal documents, staff event registration, material shipping, and communication to event staff for assigned events

  • Ensure delivery for all aspects of post-event activities, including lead management and loading, cost allocations, and timely payment of invoices

  • Manage lead speakers, internal teams, and events staff participation before and during events

  • Evaluate the use of event technology at tradeshows, making recommendations as to where we could use technology to enhance the experience or business results from shows attended

  • Conduct research for continued industry growth

  • Assist in all aspects of virtual events – team, website, speaker, and platform updates

  • And, any other ad hoc demand generation asks sent your way


  • You have a degree in marketing, communications or general business

  • You have 2+ years in corporate events, software marketing, government communications or high-touch sales

  • You have experience working with key marketing systems, such as Salesforce, Zoom, Webinars, and WordPress

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • You have project management skills and an understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment

  • You possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment where functioning autonomously and collaborating as part of a team are equally important

  • You are a self-starter with the curiosity to expand the scope of assigned projects and tasks as needed

  • You are passionate and/or experienced in working with public sector entities

  • You have experience working with distributed and international teams

  • You have incredible interpersonal skills and enjoy a fast paced environment

1999 Broadway is located in-between Denver’s Downtown and Uptown neighborhoods. Granicus occupies the 36 and 37 floors of the building.
