POSITION SUMMARY:
ArcherDX's patented chemistry and powerful bioinformatics software have placed us at the bleeding edge of the fight against cancer and other genetic diseases. You'll join a multidisciplinary team focused on improving and maturing the Enterprise Information System ecosystem.
ArcherDX has a unique opportunity for the right candidate to play a pivotal role in creating a culture of customer service and innovation for the department. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with hands on leadership, mentoring, and day to day management and is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the function and its relationship within the business. We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Systems Manager to lead and manage the enterprise system team that has the critical role to manage, enhance, and innovate the ES team, ERP system and ancillary ERP systems.
Under supervision VP of Information Systems, this position has the responsible for the success of multiple information technology services and functional areas. Assists the VP of IS in the planning, leadership, and management of the Enterprise Systems team including the development of strategic and tactical plans of the ERP system and ancillary systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:
  • Effectively hands on manage the ERP system and ancillary systems and the team to ensure performance according to business needs and IT standards, upgrades, performance, functionality enhancements, security, validation and general maintenance.
  • Plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates the work activities and professional development of assigned staff.
  • Guidance and coaching for individuals in relevant aspects of their jobs and professional careers with continuous development toward actual expectations and staff interpersonal development in the values and behavior principles of ArcherDX.
  • Defining, reviewing, executing, and ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures related to Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and qualification of infrastructure components.
  • Coordinating project-specific CSV efforts, including assistance with coordinating execution of the test plan, assembling testing results into a validation package, and addressing concerns and findings raised by quality assurance personnel.
  • Defines and implement policies, processes and procedures for operations as well as responsible for the uptime, availability and key performance metrics of the responsible systems.
  • Participates in strategy and long range planning processes within areas of responsibility in support of business and IT strategies.
  • Accountable for contributing to iterations and annual updates to the strategic plans.
  • Dedicated to quality client service and pro-active and responsive to client needs.
  • Continual analysis of changing business and customer needs and planning organizational or system changes to address needs.
  • Recommends changes to own area that will improve overall effectiveness of operations.
  • Maintains constructive relationships with customers and business entities served and ensures such relationships exist throughout the organization.
  • Troubleshoots problems and develops bridge-building solutions that improve client relationships.
  • Understands business processes and designs solutions that foremost address the business problem.
  • Promotes Project Management methodology and techniques providing structure and guidance to others to reach established goals.
  • Champions Service Management tools and processes ensuring appropriate implementation and utilization providing significant improvement in IT performance.
  • May serve on or lead committees, task forces and other inter-departmental teams.
  • Monitors and assesses operating results and creates and/or modifies process for continuous improvements.
  • Participates in the development of specifications and ongoing management of proposals and contracts for hardware, software and services.

Willingness to travel to local offices up to 10% of the time.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8 years of hands on IT management experience with strong background in managing teams that are responsible for mid to large ERP solution providers such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft.
  • Deep knowledge of RDBMS databases; specifically, one of the following Oracle, Postgres, SAP, etc.
  • Must have a focus of customer service and the drive to create and foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity and transparency.
  • Familiar with the ITIL framework and best practices around Service Management, Release Management, Change Management, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business processes, troubleshooting issues, root cause analysis and designing solutions that foremost address the business problems.
  • Must have strong coaching skills and a track record of growing individuals. Demonstrated success with selection, management, motivation, education, and evaluation of others.
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate attention to end goal.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve service offerings, operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to help internal customers.
  • Strong background in developing and maintaining effective internal IT processes.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered
