What You Will Do

We are looking for an Information Systems (IS) Director to join our growing team! This position is responsible for all enterprise systems, data technologies and respective integrations and processes that power the business operations and SaaS product.  

How You Will Spend Your Days

Solutions Management

  • Own responsibility for working with all other operational disciplines to design and develop technical solutions that satisfy the organization's needs. 
  • Work with senior leadership to understand key business objectives and act as an internal consultant to develop ideas and provide technology solutions that help the business meet those objectives  
  • Act as the authority on the architecture designed to address business systems and data 
  • Develop technology solutions and opportunity choices to give to the business for effective evaluation based on budget, scope and business requirements 
  • Ensure data integrity, security and governance are integrated and monitored throughout systems 
  • Own the reliability, accuracy, integration and accessibility of enterprise data 
  • Set the program objectives and priorities with input from key business leaders as well as develop the various technology solutions from concept to reality, evaluating business requirements for analysis of build, buy or partner decisions 
  • Effectively negotiate and manage key technology contracts to ensure that vendors fulfill their obligations and deliver services within agreed upon budget, terms and conditions  
  • Translate business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs for very large complex ISIT solutions and architecture  
  • Ensure all enterprise systems are reviewed for scale, efficiency, and ease of use  
  • Ensure that all key project issues and risks are surfaced early and resolved in a satisfactory manner 
  • Provide direction to cross functional teams to deliver on strategic objectives and projects on time and in budget 
  • Act as an advocate for internal customers to ensure they have the tools they need to do their jobs and meet key business objectives 
  • Hire, manage and develop professional technical staff 
  • Continuously assess and improve support processes to ensure full visibility and support the organization’s growth and future needs 
  • Develop strong working relationships at senior management levels to ensure overall project satisfaction and to manage expectations regarding functionality and deliverables  
  • Act as a role model and mentor on technical, strategy and team management issues 
  • Oversee internal data and reporting functions that provide insight to various business stakeholders 

Organizational Management Team Member

  • Represent IS for the management of the business. 
  • Work as an integral part of the Management team, providing input to key business direction 
  • Act as an expert in the field, using professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters 
  • Participate in the prioritization, positioning, high-level estimation, and scoping of strategic initiatives 
  • Identify and/or support the identification of IS strategies and applications that augment or support the business strategy 
  • Ensure that IS is utilized in a strategic manner in concert within appropriate cost and risk boundaries 
  • Proactively identify and prioritize improvement opportunities 
  • Manage business expectations, dependencies and work to resolve conflicts and keep projects on track  

What You Bring to this Role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science; or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
  • 8+ years of experience developing technology solutions and managing multiple technical projects
  • 5+ years in a delivery oversight role such as a Client Partner, Technology Manager, or Solutions Director
  • 5+ years of experience technical management experience over enterprise data and systems
  • Ability to matrix and manage projects through the full lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of emerging business solutions, technologies, and delivery methodologies
  • Hands-on technical experience with enterprise business systems or processes architecture (SFDC, HubSpot, Zuora, etc)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead technical professionals
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing repeatable, reliable, redundant and scalable systems and processes
  • Ability to systematically gather relevant information from different sources to address an issue, and make a prompt and insightful decision
  • Ability to translate business requirements into understandable system/process diagrams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in making articulate and effective oral presentations to different audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to manage departmental budgets, including negotiating and managing external vendors
