End User Computing Systems Administrator
Description
The End User Computing Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of systems such as PCs, VMs, mobility, messaging and desktop operating systems in a 24x7 virtualized enterprise environment. They will analyze customer requirements to provide highly available and secure solutions. This individual will routinely participate in the design, planning, and documentation for assigned projects. They must be able to participate in after-hours work as required for on-call, outages and system implementations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of projects involving existing and new business solutions
- Provide escalation support for Client staff and Technical Support; provide training on administration of new systems
- Provide escalation support for Client staff and troubleshoot hardware and software problems; coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and external vendors
- Participate in, and occasionally provide, training on new and existing systems to Client and other Technology personnel; understand how each team will be affected related to on-going support of new and existing systems
- Look for and implement automated processes to improve operational efficiency
- Communicate with co-workers, project managers, management, and business units on the status of projects
- Implement the infrastructure and front-end interfaces for new solutions following procedures listed in the Infrastructure Department Policies and Procedures manual as well as the Information Protection Policy
- Collaborate with other Technology staff and third party vendors for the implementation of new or upgrades to existing systems
- Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existing systems
- Collaborate with the Security team to resolve findings from various audits and in the implementation, support, and troubleshooting of supported services
- Include documentation as an integral part of every project
- Follow standards and processes to monitor the capacity and age of the servers and storage systems; make recommendations for increasing capacity and replacing the systems as necessary
- Maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies, recommend evaluation of emerging technologies that would benefit the Infrastructure
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy
- Take the lead on research and resolving complex IT related issues
Minimum Qualifications of Position:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience. A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 5 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
Preferred Qualifications of Position:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong organizational skills; ability to balance responsibilities of multiple projects and other tasks while meeting agreed upon objectives
- In-depth technical problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Solid understanding of Windows Servers and Microsoft Exchange
- Solid understanding of virtualization technologies
- Strong understanding of directory technologies, such as Microsoft Active Directory
- Understands how hardware and software fits into various LAN topologies
- Able to troubleshoot network services such as DHCP, DNS, SMTP and FTP
- In-depth knowledge of encryption technologies, web services, and RDBMS
- Ability to create, implement and maintain information security standards at the operating system and application levels
- In-depth knowledge of group policy creation and administration
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and light to heavy traffic. An individual in this position:
- Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
- Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
- Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
- Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
- Occasionally moves, carries and shifts inventory in storage areas, and within HQ and at branch locations
- Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
