Director of Value Management
The Director of Value Management is a key enabler to rapid and continued growth throughout our Sales teams. Leveraging a solid background in operations, strategy, and transformation, you will develop and enhance Workiva's Value Management capabilities across Strategic accounts, embedding repeatable assets into the organization to scale large deal expertise.
The Director of Value Management will directly and indirectly impact achievement of overall revenue targets by engaging a wide range of internal and external audiences from end user to Senior Management, and demonstrating a thorough understanding of Workiva's platform. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a comprehensive understanding of the financial close process, and a skilled communicator experienced at selling and negotiating large, complex enterprise deals.
What you'll do:
- Provide subject matter expertise, and own Value Management strategy (aka Value Engineering) globally as part of the Workiva Sales Management team.
- Lead customer facing workshops designed to crystalize business requirements. Workshops will have agendas that facilitate demand validation and quantification stages of the sales process.
- Create, Brand and Deliver a clear and repeatable process for Value, that maps to our Sales Process, indirectly leading and influencing sellers.
- Drive repeatable assets into the organization to scale and enhance large deal expertise. You will further develop thought leadership around value engineering & quantification by integrating these principles into the negotiation strategies, synthesizing customer experiences into reusable content and methodologies.
- Support strategic transactions and sales teams through industry knowledge, management consulting skills and analytical abilities.
What you'll need:
- 10+ years of Management or Technology Consulting and Sales experience with Business Applications
- Experience crafting the vision and quantifying value impact for Enterprise customers
- Expertise in in operations, strategy and transformation. Proven success in conducting senior level engagements.
- Prior experience managing the implementation of strategic change and value orientation within Enterprise organizations
- Bachelor's degree required - MBA preferred
- Experience in selling for, or working knowledge of competitive selling against Oracle ERP, Blackline, Anaplan, Oracle EPM, Oracle RightNow, Microsoft Dynamics Financials,
- Robust skills in analysis, storytelling, presentation, demonstration, requirements mapping and collaboration
- Proven results-driven individual with good business acumen
