Do you want to play a role in global commerce?

The Director of ESG will be a key member of the Prologis Global ESG Team. This individual will be responsible for developing and leading ESG initiatives aligned with Prologis’ business strategies and operational objective, and leading the coordination, communications, and analytical work to execute the ESG strategy and integration of sustainable practices. The individual will collaborate heavily with senior leadership, as well as work with cross-functional teams globally. This position is based in Denver.

What’s needed in order to do that:

  • Lead ESG initiatives globally including program governance, carbon reduction, and annual reporting and disclosure. Work with regional / business unit ESG leaders on implementation of key programs.
  • Develop processes to monitor, track ongoing progress against the company’s ESG goals.
  • Collaborate with key business functions globally to obtain data and achieve agreed metrics across ESG measures, ensure operational ESG initiatives are executed in-line with the company’s goals.
  • Lead a team of internal stakeholders and external consultants to develop and publish annual reporting including Sustainability GRI Report, TCFD and SASB disclosure, and develop ESG contents in the company’s core public documents including the Annual Report, 10-K and Proxy.
  • Drive ongoing improvement in ESG disclosures, rankings and ratings, and response of ESG inquiries.
  • Lead effort to support customer and investor relations on ESG engagements.
  • Support employee engagement efforts related to ESG with regular communication through the company’s intranet, town halls and educational sessions for new and existing employees. Create interactive engagement opportunities on ESG for employees.
  • Engage with external stakeholder groups, representing Prologis’ ESG program in public forums and industry events.

Tell us if you’re ready.

  • At least 10 years of related working experience in a global organization with minimum 5 years in ESG in a business setting.
  • Broad knowledge of ESG in a business context including ESG reporting, life cycle assessment, Science Based Targets, sustainable building, and sustainable financing.
  • Substantial experience with ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, DJSI, SASB, GHG Protocol, including ESG rating and rankings experience.
  • Advanced verbal and written communications skills as well as the ability to educate, persuade and inspire people into action.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional team management skills, process focused and keen ability to manage through influence.
  • Be able to prioritize, multitask and deliver high-quality work in tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with senior executives and collaborate effectively with people across geographies, cultures, functions, and all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to work independently with ambiguity to drive solutions. High level of attention to detail and ability to think strategically and innovatively.
  • High level of personal drive. A consummate team player with impeccable ethics and integrity.

Target base compensation range of: $110,000 - $140,000, plus variable compensation (bonus target & long-term incentive) to be discussed during initial phone interview.
