Director of Customer Enablement

Overview:

Alteryx is searching for a Director of Customer Enablement based in our Broomfield, CO office. This position is remote-friendly.

The Director of Customer Enablement will oversee a lean multi-team organization responsible for technical training content development (ILT and Digital Learning), certification, authorized training partner relationships, LMS administration, and direct delivery of education services.

Key Outcomes for this Responsibility 

  • Grow the Customer Enablement team and staff to meet emerging B2B/B2C requirements.
  • Support the department pivot from pure mindshare objectives to include financial metrics of success.
  • Deliver monetized service offerings for LMS platforms and virtual classrooms.
  • Transform a small global team into a high-functioning service organization. 
  • Continually engage global Community to ensure YoY growth.
  • Maximize customer outcomes through relevant and expedient service offerings. 
  • Scale all program in line with demand to support B2B goals. 
  • Provide direction and create growth and development plans for Managers and Senior Managers within the team.

Responsibilities 

  • Direct team activities through department managers.
  • Retain overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to department process and methods.
  • Define and drive organization-wide programs to support department objectives. 
  • Identify KPIs and communicate goals with key stakeholders. 
  • Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Ensures Customer Enablement program schedules meet corporate requirements.
  • Manage budget, program sustainability, and vendor relationships.
  • Expand B2B/B2C service offerings to meet organizational and customer needs. 
  • Conduct program evaluations and assess program risks.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain reporting for program visibility and transparency. 
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Partners, and internal stakeholders to leverage Customer Enablement content tools and programs with broader corporate initiatives.
  • Is a master of the discipline and others seek guidance and advice regarding complex issues. Responsible for executing the strategic direction of the department. Can identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the department and company. Can create in real-time solutions to complex issues within department/company. Has input into P&L decisions and hiring plans.

Qualifications: 

  • Progressive thought leader in knowledge, learning and enablement, with outstanding skills in shaping and then realizing a broad portfolio - vision, strategy, goals, architecture, people, tools, and process.
  • Proven management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication for internal and customer-facing interactions 
  • Ability to engage collaboratively and cross functionally internally with Community, Product Development, Product Management, and Customer Success 
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the Technical Services industry
  • Minimum 8 years of Experience leading Customer Training teams 
  • Strong analytics skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in education, technology, or a related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • International/Domestic Travel may be required – less than 10%

Compensation: 

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $132,100-$231,200. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
