Wowza Media Systems is currently seeking a Director of Business Process to design and manage Wowza’s internal business practices and procedures. This includes establishing, documenting, implementing and evolving methods and procedures allowing for smooth cross-functional coordination across all areas of the business, as well as internal Business Operations process, with a focus on efficiency, redundancy and scalability.

This position will play a critical role in enabling Wowza to achieve predictable growth objectives while maintaining healthy business practices, compliant with corporate policies.

The ideal candidate will take a front row seat in not only learning how Wowza is leading the video streaming industry, but also influencing methods and best practices to drive change throughout the organization, demonstrating initiative, self-motivation and critical thinking skills while aligning leaders and cross functional teams. This individual will use data and apply all necessary analytics to ensure optimal workflows and procedures while measuring and reporting on key performance indicators.

What you will be doing:

  • Partnering with functional leaders to understand department goals and challenges while continuously iterating to achieve optimal internal methods and procedures
  • Designing and implementing a centralized operational “system” consisting of core metrics, tools, resources and adopted processes
  • Creating a central repository of documented processes and ensuring adoption across the organization
  • Defining and communicating repeatable, scalable processes for Wowza’s functional teams, as it relates to how they receive, obtain appropriate approvals, prioritize, and process incoming requests from the organization.
  • Applying a tactical mindset with a hands-on approach and strong focus on efficiency, redundancy and accuracy
  • Developing tools and core proficiency for cross functional Project Management that is aligned and consistent with SAFe practices
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, resource availability and allocation, and that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Partnering closely with the leadership team to enable data driven decision making at all levels in the company
  • Researching and advising on optimal methods, procedures and best practices to enable organizational effectiveness
  • Establish programs that mentor and coach team members, help develop their careers, identify strengths, opportunities for improvement and promote a continuous development and learning culture

To be successful, you must have the ability to drive a project from start to completion, be very detail-oriented, a self-starter, and have excellent communication skills. The ability to work well cross-functionally and with remote personnel is also required.

Experience We’d Like you to Have

  • Excellent time and project management skills while demonstrating ability to manage simultaneous initiatives and apply business judgement to prioritize appropriately
  • Ability to accurately measure and assess key business metrics while influencing results
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment working in a collaborative and/or leadership capacity
  • Exceptionally strong in both quantitative and qualitative analysis and with superior communication skills to stakeholders across the business.
  • Proven track record of self-motivation and initiative with ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with people of all types
  • Work experience in Video Streaming Software or related industry a plus
  • Six-Sigma, PMP or AGILE certification a plus
