Cyber Security Analyst III

Position Description
The Corporate Security Team at Zayo is growing and we are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst III who will be responsible for planning and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data at Zayo. This role will focus on endpoint protection, email security and helping to grow our security footprint through assessments, tooling and alerting.
Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and respond to security escalations.
Ensuring corporate security policies are in practice within the associated areas of ownership.
Perform risk assessments and risk mitigation of networks, systems, and services.
Support, enhance and create automation for security monitoring and alerting.
Manage and support security applications.
Provide recommendations and standards for securing systems and services using the corporate security policies.
Participate in and provide security awareness training.
Focused on analyzing and managing risk and architecting the steps to mitigate these risks with the associated stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of practical experience in a Security Analyst or Security Administrator role.
Experience administering endpoint and network security technologies such as antivirus, firewalls, IDS/IPS, web filtering (proxies), email filtering, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and SIEM solutions.
Knowledge of security frameworks and governing bodies such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills
Strong understanding of best practices for various technical areas within security
Preferred Skill Set
Ability to learn and gain new technical skills and willingness to jump into a project or break/fix issues even if it’s outside your comfort zone.
Self-starter with the ability to work in a small, dynamic team and tackle new projects and concepts.
Ability to document detailed procedures, train teammates and willingness to share knowledge to empower others to self-solve.

Base salary range: $62,982-$68,696
