A little about the role…
A Payment Services Specialist provides support to end-user (customer) software-related questions and step-by-step solutions. Support is provided by clearly communicating solutions in a user-friendly and professional manner. Payment Services Specialists commit to excellence and provide the best customer experience.
What You Will Do…
- Be responsible for helping existing customers as they integrate into and utilize our Tuition Express product
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
- Deliver excellent customer service and support to end-users via remote connection and over the telephone, while using and operating automated call distribution phone software, in-house support ticketing system and in-house customer management systems
- Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about product usage and services
- Responding promptly to customer inquiries
- Adding services to existing customer accounts such as the ability to process credit cards or change card types accepted

- Utilize available resources for identifying customer needs and finding resolution
- Follow standard processes and procedures
- Identify, escalate, or redirect priority issues per Company guidelines
- Redirect users to appropriate resources
- Offer alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of retaining customer’s business Follow-up and make scheduled call back to customer where necessary
- Stay current with software changes/updates and participate in training as required
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have…
- Background in merchant services
- Financial acumen
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance - this position is in-office
- Proper phone etiquette
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated proficiency in typing and grammar
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Effective listening skills
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- Understand the scope of support to be provided to the customer and ability to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated
- Establish proper courses of action to ensure that work product is completed efficiently and on time/within proper time limits
- Make customer’s needs a primary focus of one’s actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships

Salary
$19-$23/hour DOE
Location
This position is based in our Denver office. We are currently in a flexible hybrid in-office/remote working model based on local COVID-19 health regulations and business needs. Candidates must be willing and able to work from our Denver office a few days a week.
