At Arturo, we use AI to extract a rich and accurate set of property features from remote-sensing imagery for various groups of customers -- and we deliver this product via both a real-time API, web application, and a high-throughput batch system. Customer success is our top priority, and we need your help to support our customers and systems around the clock, operate our system, and deliver our product. 

 

As a team member of our Customer Support Operations team, you will use your talents to work both directly with our customers and cross-functionally within Arturo to deliver the best possible support experience. You will develop your product knowledge and apply your skills to become an expert resource for our products in order to provide timely responses to customer-facing issues, process large-scale data requests, and deliver custom solutions.

 

This is a remote position for candidates located in Australia.

What you will do:

  • Operate our system on behalf of customers to deliver our product -- datasets of AI-derived property characteristics
  • Quickly handle customer issues and escalations -- sometimes escalating to the Site Reliability Engineers or DevOps teams, sometimes handling technical issues within the Customer Support team itself
  • Learn our systems and our product to become a super-user
  • Monitor the status of our real-time systems and inform/communicate with customers about ongoing issues
  • Build and deliver product packages in response to customer requests
  • Assist in building out and improving support operations processes and procedures

What you bring:

  • Enthusiasm for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Technical aptitude and a strong desire for continuous improvement
  • A strong customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to communicate among multiple stakeholders -- in particular the ability to convey technical information at the level appropriate for the target audience
  • Experience supporting real-time / SaaS products
  • Technical proficiency handling and manipulating data products -- JSON, CSV, Excel, SQL, etc.
  • Experience as a consumer of APIs
  • Python scripting ability and the willingness to grow your skills in this area.

Nice to have:

  • Geospatial / GIS experience
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Kubernetes or AWS experience
  • Command-line experience in a Linux-like environment

Being an international team member:

  • Arturo is a US-based company with a number of large customers in Australia. We are looking to build a small team in Australia to support our customer base
  • You will be employed as a contractor through an international company. We will negotiate an annual salary with you and you will be paid twice a month
  • You will report to a manager in the US
  • You could be required to occasionally travel to meet with your US counterparts. This is, of course, dependent on safety and travel restrictions
