Member Flight Ambassador (Account Manager)

 

THE POSITION

StraightLine is about choice and control, providing modern day flyers with the industry’s leading alternative solutions to traditional jet cards and fractional ownership. Each member of the Member Flight Ambassador team works directly with a dedicated group of StraightLine Private Air members in the seamless coordination of their private air travel. Our members demand a high level of personalized service, so their Flight Advisor must be able to coordinate multiple moving parts in the execution of every intricate detail of their travel. Our Flight Ambassadors are in constant communication with aircraft operators around North America, working to seek the most favorable and enjoyable travel options for their members.

 

This role would be a great fit if you are:

  • Rapid learner- We move fast and the world of technology is constantly changing. It’s important that you can keep up. You will become an absolute expert in the private aviation and develop a deep understanding of our members’ needs. We expect that you will take initiative to grow in your field and personally.
  • Eager Team Player- You will be working cross collaboratively with our Sales team to ensure a smooth member onboarding process, as well as coordinating trial-flights, and answering prospective member questions.
  • Ultra Organized- no, seriously. This position requires a tremendous attention to detail for the flight booking process, as well as account management. Keeping flight details and member correspondence documented and organized directly impacts the health of the company.
  • Excellent communicator- Critical to this role, it’s very important that you are a natural communicator in both written and verbal form. Our customers are high net-worth individuals. Your ability to communicate effectively with customers at every level as well as communicate with the Member Flight Ambassador team is an absolute must

 

Outcomes & Responsibilities

Coordinating Flights

  • Source and utilizing transient and “empty leg” aircraft to arrange point-to-point and one-way flights.
  • Serve as an advocate for members while providing best-in-class service and attention to detail.
  • Be responsive to member inquiries & requests, occasionally during non-business hours.
  • Facilitate all aspects of member travel plans and membership status.
  • Cover “on-call” weekend shifts to answer member inquiries 1-2 times per month.

Account Management

  • Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with aircraft operators, members and your team through interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work directly with Senior Leadership team on strategic member services initiatives.
  • Develop a personal rapport with members to increase club membership sales through referrals and enhance member retention.

Member Experience

  • Anticipate your members needs to optimize their experience and encourage account replenishment
  • Conduct new member orientations to understand your member’s unique needs, set the expectation for their experience and explain operational details.
  • Craft experiences incorporating private jet travel to drive account utilization and renewals.

Quoting and Booking Flights

  • Use our robust set of databases and resources to conduct daily market research on aircraft availability to identify optimal pricing for all relevant aircraft options for members.
  • Bring and/or gain a thorough understanding of the private aviation industry and specifically aircraft charter operators to develop mutually accretive working relationships.
  • Negotiate partnerships with aircraft operators on behalf of StraightLine and its members to provide optimal market value.
  • Work with your team to develop competitive quotes and pricing options for clients based on findings of market research and partnerships you establish.

 

Preferred Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-3 years of experience in account management, high-end customer service, hospitality, and/or travel related fields.
  • Experience implementing processes and related systems to optimize workflow through the use of online/SAAS technologies.
  • A desire to dig into the position and commitment to building lasting relationships with your team, our members and operator partners.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, innovate, and flourish in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to contribute meaningfully in a variety of capacities in a high-growth start-up.
  • Natural ability to maintain a professional demeanor while handling conflict resolution.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically to solve problems.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft & aviation a plus.
  • Willingness to handle other duties as assigned or as they change at any given time.
