Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Retail Security Manager, responsible for assuring the safety and security of Brilliant Earth physical assets, employees and customers. The Corporate Retail Security Manger will oversee, manage, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of existing showroom and operations locations and will play a vital role in our new showroom expansion. This leader will work closely with other managers and showroom staff to coordinate security efforts, initiatives, and standards across the company. The Corporate Retail Security Manager is responsible for physical security of inventory and facilities, policy development and compliance, as well as the implementation and incorporation of industry best practices. As an individual contributor on the Retail Operations team, you will collaborate closely with team members and other leaders across the organization to achieve strategic goals related to security and manage daily security tasks.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, document and implement security policies, including facilitation of staff training.
- Investigate, address and document security violations, working in conjunction with HR and other company leaders.
- Respond to and facilitate necessary action for day-to-day service calls and issues from security vendors and staff.
- Ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and industry best practices related to physical product, employee and customer security.
- Create and implement appropriate incident response plans.
- Develop comprehensive physical security plans and procedures for existing and new showroom locations, including plans for intrusion, access control, cameras and product storage.
- Coordinate installation of security plans with GCs and third-party vendors during showroom launches, including scheduling, addressing questions and ensuring adherence to the plans.
- Collaborate closely with office team to ensure staff security access is up to date and documented.
- Continuously improve policies and procedures, update documentation, and provide regular staff communication and updates to ensure security is top-of-mind for all.
- Perform regular security audits to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Manage and optimize the security budget, in line with business goals and objectives.
You’re a Great Candidate if You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- 10+ years corporate security management experience
- Experience with physical product / retail security. Luxury / high value product preferred
- Demonstrated experience building, implementing and improving upon corporate security strategies, policies and procedures
- Robust computer and technical skills, including understanding of integrated security systems and technologies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Written and verbal communication skills / an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Strategic thinking, continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with a focus on problem solving, execution and process improvement
- Interest in socially and environmentally responsible products
The targeted budget for this position is $100-140K. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.
