Hiring rate/range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, with a variable incentive bonus at a quarterly target of 3% of salary 

Actual compensation offered to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.

Summary/Objective:

Travelers Haven is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and knowledgeable apartment inventory manager who will be responsible for the process, tracking, function, and performance of core inventory.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multiple markets' long term apartment leases. This will include strategic practices of reviewing data to make the best business decision with location, rate, probability, and risk mitigation. In addition, candidates must have a highly versatile skill set to juggle a wide range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to, data analytics, presentations to Executive team or Board of Advisors, strategic planning, budget planning, etc. Regardless of the task, the ideal candidate has a knack for getting things done and delivering results. Whether that’s through original ingenious solutions or by borrowing best practices.

The onboarding experience for the ideal candidate will be tasked with three key objectives that will allow them to dive-deep into the inner workings of a new department in the organization, Core Inventory.

This position will report to the VP of Strategic Partnerships for initial 60 days then will move to report directly to the CEO.

Essential Functions:

  • Continually and proactively evaluate and identify market trends and external factors that may impact internal performance such as new construction, apartment vacancy, inflation, eviction moratoriums, etc.
  • Communicate succinctly and proactively across all layers of the organization and be comfortable presenting at all-hands meetings with all our associates.
  • Effective problem solver through data analytics, kaizen events, and ingenuity.
  • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, KPIs, guidelines, and standards for the department. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Implements policies and procedures and changes to those that will continue pushing the envelope on what is possible from a performance standpoint.
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to associates, customers, industry partners, and the community at-large.
  • Responsible for the functionality of the daily internal operations of Core Inventory.
  • Design and implement an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.
  • Create detailed reporting.
  • Implementation of core market strategies.
  • Manage daily activity of all Core Inventory.
  • Work strategically with manager to align margin growth.
  • Assess Markets and Market Strategy to produce gross margin profit.
  • Create backfill process for all Core Inventory.
  • Manage lease breaks and service tickets that occur.
  • Utilize automation to increase productivity efficiencies.
  • Align operational support with top line revenue goals.
  • Hold weekly individual meetings with all direct connects to outline Key Performance Indicators and weekly targets.
  • Align goals for each Core Inventory with Outside sales professionals to ensure backfill success.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, preferably with a business management emphasis
  • Minimum 10 years of multi departmental management experience
  • Track record of process analysis & improvement
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
  • Experience leading projects, establishing timelines, delegating authority, and holding others accountable for deliverables
  • Superior interpersonal and influencing skills. Has the ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide array of audiences


Additional Eligibility Qualification:

  • Previous corporate housing experience
  • CRM and Microsoft office proficiency
