Position Description

The specialist will be a critical member of the procurement team, supporting Category Managers, functions and other procurement teams with contract templates and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up to date contract repository to facilitate quick and efficient review when needed
  • Share templates and communicate best practices for contracting across Procurement and the functions
  • Provides responses to bids, proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Prepares service and construction agreements to vendors.
  • Develops a set of standard contracts for the company.
  • Analyzes all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Audits existing contracts and oversees contract amendments.
  • Analyzes a contract’s risk to the business and works closely with the Legal team
  • Trains internal stakeholders on contract procedures and practices
  • Maintains a repository of the company’s contracts and amendments
  • Coordinates with the finance department to ensure correct billing and collection of contractual revenues.
  • Ensures that contracts are in line with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Manages all changes in and addendums to existing contracts.
  • Identifies potential improvements to existing contract management policies and procedures.
  • Tracks the status of pending contracts and follows up with all stakeholders as needed to execute contracts on a timely basis.
  • Prepares reports on the status of contracts for management.
  • Conducts special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ~2 years relevant industry experience in compliance and risk governance
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Finance or related field
  • Experience in contract template development and communication of best practices
  • Experience with repository maintenance
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills with experience in managing a dispersed team and process to meet a given project’s objectives
  • Results-driven mindset, with clear capabilities in problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management and staff with experience working with and delivering results in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adjust to rapid changes within the business and willingness to be hands-on, with no reservation to roll-up sleeves and perform out of scope duties to get the job done
  • Capable of making difficult decisions and communicating them effectively to the team
  • Exceptional ability to influence others through oral and written presentation. He or she must persuade, motivate and compel support for key ideas and initiatives by delivering clear, well-structured messages
  • Confident and articulate; produces clear, accurate, and logically structured documentation tailored to the audience
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptionally strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Required Competencies

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications

Additional Notes

  • Travel as needed
  • Base salary range: $65,000-$75,000
