Collections Specialist

Position Description:
The responsibility of the KPA Collections Specialist will be focused on the company’s monthly collections, aged accounts collections, past due statements, calling past due clients and working with delivery and sales teams to address client issues. The Collections Specialist will optimize KPA’s accounts receivable, manage past due accounts, work with sales and operations teams on collections issues and support the other objectives of the finance team.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Optimize the collections process with periodic collections statements and meetings with finance team.
• Make collections calls, send collection and invoice copies and email statements and invoices to past due clients.
• Prints, reviews and maintains an aging report on a weekly basis
• Initiates, tracks, and maintains all records/files associated with collection activities for each account to include negotiated payment schedules, telephone call documentation, and collection letters
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Researches customer issues related to AR
Requirements
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
• Oral and written communication skills
• Computer skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Intermediate ability in Excel.

Position Details:
• Reports to the Assistant Controller.
• Full-time, hourly position.
• Based in KPA’s Lafayette, CO headquarters.
