WHO YOU ARE...

As the Chief of Staff you will report directly to the CEO to help accelerate business operations across the leadership team, managing a small team to execute on the most important business priorities. You thrive off of being the go-to person for the CEO to ensure alignment and execution of key internal and external initiatives across all groups and partners. You will be a “multiplier” for the CEO -- accountable for communications and objectives and you will have a direct impact on the productivity and culture of our business.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects

Guide the evaluation and research of strategic opportunities for Maxwell

Lead a small, special projects team focused on ongoing business operations critical to the CEO and Maxwell’s executive team

Build and analyze data based on competitive landscape to build planning models

Strategic Planning

Work with the FP&A team to drive Maxwell’s regular planning and forecasting process

Organize strategic planning and initiatives to ensure Maxwell effectively builds them into the near and long term plans (10, 5, 3, and 1 year time horizons)

Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable on deliverables for strategic planning

Organize and Lead Maxwell’s quarterly OKR process

Guide efforts towards Maxwell’s continued development towards the company’s vision through the OKR process with executive leadership

Collaborate with executive leadership to create and report on Maxwell’s quarterly and bi-annual OKRs to the Board of Directors

Strategize with Maxwell leaders to rollout OKR initiatives to a companywide framework

Executive Operations and Internal Communications

Drive agenda and capture Executive team meetings to lead business decisions forward

Ensure strategic alignment across teams, raising disconnects and identifying risks

Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive an effective All Hands meetings

Board of Directors & Investor Relations

Manage preparation and slide deck for the Board of Director meetings

Track action items from board meetings and prepare quarterly investor updates

IDEALLY YOU'LL HAVE...

  • 5+ years of experience including management consulting, strategic business development, and/or business operations in a high growth environment
  • BA/BS required; MBA or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Proven experience organizing and collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience planning, leading and executing strategic initiatives, leading change and promoting strong collaboration.
  • Must have demonstrated ability be effectively influential without having direct authority
  • Excellent project management skills and history of successful execution of project goals
  • Effective and mature communicator, able to convey intricate ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions 
  • Low ego personality dedicated to versatility and efficiency with an ability to act nimbly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to think strategically and call out potential risks and solutions
