​Responsibilities

  • Functional owner of company’s cash application process and able to communicate and educate on the cash app operations and accounting to all levels of personnel internally or externally

  • Supervise and mentor a group of senior and junior cash accountants while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture with highest integrity and sense of ownership

  • Review month end cash recons and journal entries. 

  • Manage and update work tasks for the cash app team such as month end close checklist, new currency/entity roll out procedure, checklist etc.

  • Design, participate, and provide feedback in BRD design documentation which involves customer payment cycle

  • Work closely with cross functional teams, i.e. billings team, collections team, payment team, biz system team to design and implement automation tools and improve/fix bugs or process issues and enhance internal controls related to cash app

  • Manage the testing for new automation projects and process changes related to cash app cycle

  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve the current cash application and reconciliation process for all payment types including credit cards, wire transfers, and checks while maintaining SOX compliance

  • Review the team’s workload periodically to ensure proper allocation of work and timely/accurate cash app in the system

  • Identify and analyze KPIs and metrics to improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Close partnership with internal and external auditors on satisfactory completion of all PBC deliverables

  • Contribute to management reporting and financial reporting in cross functional collaboration

  • Perform ad-hoc/special projects and analysis as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or similar field.

  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, of which 5+ years are in cash accounting including at least 2+ years of supervising a team.

  • Solid understanding of general accepted accounting principles.

  • Experience with Zuora or any enterprise level ERP application and managing an offshore team is highly preferred.

  • Strong technical, analytical and communication skills.

  • Self starter able to work in an energetic fast-paced environment.
