Building Access Specialist at Zayo

Zayo Group, LLC, (Zayo) a fast growing, global telecommunications service provider located in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a Building Access Specialist for its Real Estate organization. This role will manage a portfolio of new and existing Building Access Agreements, which will serve as an integral piece to expanding our network. This role will be a part of the Real Estate organization and will report to the Director of Real Estate and Technical Space.
The Building Access Specialist position is an integral role with a broad set of skills including organization, prioritization and superb communication skills. This role will be focused on the management of Zayo’s Building Access Agreements, both new and existing, and will partner regularly with business development and Regional Network Sales to support revenue growth objectives. Experience managing and negotiating real estate, preferably in the telecom industry, is a key requisite for this role.
This role will interface with a broad set of individuals at Zayo, and the ability to develop productive relationships with other functional teams will be critical: product management, operational finance, corporate development, sales, operations and engineering, legal, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of Zayo’s BAA real estate portfolio in a specific region within Zayo’s portfolio, including new, revenue-generating agreements and maintaining Zayo’s existing portfolio of BAAs. You will be a key point of contact for ongoing commercial dialogue with landlords and property managers
Lead on Landlord and/or property management negotiations for Building Access Agreements
Timely execute new BAAs to support Zayo’s revenue growth and customer timelines
Review and negotiate new agreements and/or amendments when necessary
Ongoing scanning of existing portfolio to determine areas of potential cost optimization by virtue of consolidating redundant BAAs.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business
2-4 years of telecommunications experience, preferably focused around real estate
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong work ethic and ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Strong sense of teamwork and willingness to support others in meeting group objectives
High energy and motivation; commitment to learning and having fun in an often stressful environment
Base salary range: $50,500-$67,300
