The Motor Windings Assembly Technician will follow workflows in producing various mechanical and electrical assemblies for aerospace hardware. The primary responsibility for this position will be to manufacture motor windings. The successful person will have experience with fine assembly processes. It will require working under microscopes and soldering small wires (e.g., 30 AWG). This is a temporary position. In some cases, there may be the opportunity to convert to a permanent position if individual performance and business conditions allow.
Responsibilities:
- Follow standard workflow documentation
- Standard quality processes
- Precision mechanical assembly
- Lacing of fine wire bundles and harnessing
- Perform various precision assembly tasks under a microscope or magnifier
- Soldering
- Cabling
- Basic problem reporting
- Failure report tracking
- Manage and coordinate Material Review Board materials and FTR tracking
- Provide feedback to leadership and engineering regarding suggested updates to processes
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with mechanical or electronic hardware assembly
- Basic computer skills
- Close attention to detail
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an engineering field or precision assembly environment
- Experience with motor manufacturing, magnet wire coils, and lacing
- Aerospace Standards: J-STD-001 Space Addendum, NASA STD 8739.1, 8739.4
