Job Summary

Worldwide Channel Campaign Strategist

The worldwide channel campaign strategist works on the campaigns team, in the field and demand marketing organization, to maximize campaign and launch performance through our channel partners. Working closely with campaign strategists and the channel strategy team within the sales organization, the readiness manager will work to make the reseller channel an effective execution arm of NetApp marketing.

 

The channel campaign strategist will improve NetApp’s demand performance through our channel partners, including product launch execution, targeted demand gen programs, and campaign performance measurement and optimization. The goal of the channel campaign strategist is to make the reseller channel and execution arm of NetApp marketing, and key stakeholders include: demand centers, field marketing, channel sales management, product management, and NetApp business unit leadership.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage entire launch and new product development partner preparedness:
    • Develop standard bill of materials for launches and new product introductions, including both partner-facing and customer-facing materials
    • Develop launch new product introduction execution packages for the geography field marketing teams (roadmaps, schedules, content) from materials prepared by product marketing and campaigns teams
    • Perform launch preparedness briefings for GEO channel mktg lead, sales leadership, distibutors, and select partners
    • Adapt launch and NPI messaging and value propositions to be relevant and meaningful for partners

Job Requirements

  • Required Experience, Personal Attributes, and Interpersonal Skills

  • BA, BS, MA, MS, or equivalent degree in marketing, business, or communications.
  • 10+ years of experience, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, managing global channel marketing strategy and execution at a Fortune 500 company, or other company with a large reseller channel
  • Broad understanding of NetApp’s products and services.
  • Ability to manage a diverse, multifunctional marketing team to work toward campaign goals in an environment of constant change and competing commitments.
  • Strong technical marketing ability and marketing platform experience, including marketing automation, website and analytics tools, and related technologies.
  • Data-driven approach to campaign planning and evaluation, and the ability to proactively troubleshoot and find creative solutions.
  • Relevant industry experience gained from a similar company would be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to small- to medium-sized groups.
  • Ability to work to organizational deadlines and KPIs.

Education

⦁    Bachelor's degree
⦁    10+ years of experience managing marketing strategy development
