The VP of Revenue Marketing plays an integral role in driving revenue growth for the company across markets. Reporting to the CRO, this individual will be responsible for creating a scalable marketing strategy and driving the successful execution of the plan across the customer lifecycle to achieve revenue targets. This position will lead all paid media acquisition, content marketing, SEO optimization, conversion experience & optimization, nurture & conversion, and the overall Convercent experience and performance.

The successful candidate will be results-driven and comfortable with both the analytical and creative sides of acquisition and account-based marketing. Experience in fast-paced environments and a proven track record of building high performance teams and strong relationships with Sales is critical to this role. The digital team, content marketing team and website management and analytics team will report to this leader.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Convercent’s customer acquisition strategy and operational plan to deliver on revenue targets.
  • Drive a consistently expanding stream of unique visitors excluding customers (UVECs) to Convercent via a coordinated paid media, content marketing and SEO optimization plan.
  • Manage and continually optimize Convercent’s experience, working closely with design, UX and engineering to prioritize and execute continual improvements.
  • Lead a consistent test-and-learn process to optimize conversion, including rigorous A/B testing and analytics review.
  • Manage the marketing budget
  • Manage the content marketing team of writers and digital producers
  • Manage the website management and analytics team
  • Collaborate with the digital engagement team to execute email and in-app digital nurture and conversion campaigns that convert free trial users into buyers.
  • Oversee daily and weekly conversion funnel reporting and associated self-service analytics.
  • Develop and manage the Marketing plan and operations across channels including campaigns, execution, and reporting & analysis.
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing team to prioritize and develop integrated campaigns, determine best channels for each product/campaign/piece of content.
  • Develop inbound/outbound lead generation strategy for digital and offline channels including: SEM/ PPC, Social, Display/Re-targeting, Events, Webinars, Websites/SEO, Review Sites, Email, Associations, and Offline Channels
  • Enhance and manage the lead management process to improve pipeline conversion
  • Own the relationship with sales and forge strong communication and service level agreement (SLA) between marketing and sales
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, sales and service team members to enhance the buyer experience and execute nurture and upsell strategies in a consistent, compelling and connected way.'
  • Manage overall Marketing Operations including the marketing budget, demand gen technology, reporting, and dashboards to demonstrate revenue impact and ROI
  • Develop positioning, messaging, segmentation and marketing campaigns for target segments using customer data and analysis (via customer interviews, A/B testing, metrics, etc.) .
  • Ownership of our social media presence via Twitter, Facebook, and other relevant outlets as needed (eg: YouTube, Quora)
  • Be a strategic partner on the Convercent executive team; share learning and marketing best practices, continually improve processes and content, and provide clear and consistent reporting to broader stakeholders
  • Develop strategies and tactics to increase customer acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Develop effective communications including online outreach, events, webinars, and other activities as seen fit for our target and future customer base
  • Drive creation of new sales, customer and partner facing messaging and communications
  • Define product positioning and key messages to develop product data sheets, sales aids/enablement materials, and key messages to external stakeholders (media, customers, prospects & partners)
  • Develop tactical marketing plans delivering the proper product positioning via specific activities and programs (social media, webinars, events, videos, etc.)
  • Formulate forecasts and create the marketing plan including methods for market penetration, customer acquisition, as well as customer retention and expansion
  • Work cross-functionally to create marketing materials and partner toolkits (data sheets, partner briefs, presentations, online assets, etc.)
  • Drive and own agency and freelance relationships as needed.
  • Initiate, develop and deliver thought-leading content via blogs, webinars, videos, eBooks, podcasts, events, etc. in partnership with our CEO
  • Act as a company evangelist for our product and services in webinars, videos, podcasts and speaking events as needed both internally and externally to analysts, media, customers, prospects and partners
  • Create sales enablement materials such as standard presentations, demo scripts, data sheets, solution briefs, videos, messaging guides, white papers, etc.
  • Design, test, and implement a revenue-driving referral program
  • Develop additional sales tools as needed that align with the no-touch or low-touch models

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years experience driving revenue impact through marketing
  • 5+ years experience leading and managing a team (5+) direct reports
  • Experience with Marketing Automation required. (Marketo experience a plus)
  • Experience with Web Analytics (Google Analytics experience a plus)
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Experience in account-based marketing tactics
  • Advanced knowledge of digital marketing landscape and emerging technologies and trends especially in the social and mobile space
  • Good understanding and practical knowledge of web strategy
  • Experience with mobile marketing and understanding of mobile app development
  • Excellent strategic thinking and leadership skills, including influencing
