This is a full-time position based at the Visible headquarters in Denver, CO, where you will collaborate with team members across functions as well as our executive team.

 

Your Role at Visible

 

Visible is looking for a Consumer Insights Lead who will be instrumental in developing actionable consumer insights to ground different Visible business units in a deep understanding of consumer attitudes and behaviors. This role will support the design of both quantitative and qualitative research approaches and evangelize insights to help inform key decisions across Visible. We are looking for a user-centric researcher capable of wearing many different hats, a data-driven storyteller who can design and apply creative research to brand strategy one day, and report on research-backed pricing strategies the next.

 

Strategy, Execution, and Reporting on Consumer Research Projects [60-70%]

 

  • In partnership with an external research agency, plan, manage and coordinate multiple quantitative and qualitative research projects simultaneously.

  • Support ongoing research efforts to define and develop Visible’s segmentation strategy, including expansion into new audiences, to ensure different departments build for and speak to our target customer base.

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams and research agency to gather first party customer insights, including in-person customer interviews, email and web/app surveys, to evaluate current and future product experiences, customer profiling, and messaging/branding.

  • Execute marketing-based research related to media, partnerships, and brand strategy, including behavioral and creative research, brand awareness and attribute tracking.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Product, Design, and Product Marketing to gather data-driven insights on value proposition, purchase drivers, messaging, pricing, and promotions, and other aspects to inform product strategy.

  • Organize and present primary research reports and syndicated findings in a compelling narrative, citing actionable takeaways for the business.

  • Ensure that the quality of research methods used and analytics output is of the highest standard.

  • Be an active champion in socializing learnings with partners and throughout Visible, including parent company Verizon, to extend consumer understanding beyond the insights function.

 

Support Execution and Reporting of UX Research [30-40%]

Execute in person and online UX testing to ensure that Product and Design teams are armed with the objective consumer feedback they need to develop best-in-class user experiences.

 

  • Work closely with Product Designers and Product Managers to plan and conduct UX research related to Visible website and app properties.

 

  • Support Product and Design with UX research testing needs (consulting, survey design, recruitment, analysis) throughout project lifecycle: conceptualization, prototype validation, usability tests on final product.

 

  • Assist with the execution of in-person user tests, including recruitment, lab setup, intake/outtake of participants, moderation, breakdown, incentive provision, and recording/reporting of results.


 

Required:

  • BS/BA degree in business, marketing, behavioral science, psychology or similar field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in developing and executing primary qualitative and/or quantitative marketing research.

  • A detailed understanding of syndicated research sources [e.g. Nielsen, Forrester] and ability to synthesize secondary data into clear actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated experience in broad UX research testing and/or usability testing, including in-person moderation and how to work with Product and Design teams.

  • Detail-oriented critical thinker recognized for analytical rigor and ability to identify actionable insights for business.

  • Strong problem solver with a bias to action and a genuine passion for customer experience, consumer marketing and product-centric innovation.

  • Polished communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively visualize and present data and insights to key business stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment, both independently and in collaborative team settings.

 

Bonus if you have:

  • An MBA or Master’s in Marketing, Market Research, Consumer Behavior or related field

  • Experience managing a research agency partner.

  • Strong familiarity with survey and research tools (e.g. SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, UserTesting.com) and/or data visualization tools (e.g.Tableau, Google Data Studio)

  • Experience with data analysis, especially cross-tabulation portals and/or analytical software (e.g., SPSS)

  • Direct experience moderating in-person interviews and focus groups.
