What You’ll Do

As a Learning Content Developer at Alchemer, you will be responsible for creating, curating, supporting, and maintaining one of our most valuable resources – our course content and documentation. Our customers and staff alike rely heavily on our extensive knowledge base to ensure they can accomplish their goals accurately, efficiently, and effectively.

This role will join a small but growing team of customer educators with the goal of ensuring a positive customer experience by helping our customers get the most out of our robust platform.

 How You’ll Spend Your Days

  • Works on the Digital Learning Content team to design and develop digital learning content
  • Collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps and requirements
  • Consults with SME to define learning objectives, document and develop curriculum requirements, and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum that meets enterprise needs
  • Analyzes and applies trends and leading practices in learning technologies, instructional design and adult learning theory to
  • Identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience, course content, etc.
  • Design and develop relevant content including high-level design materials
  • Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks
  • Selects best delivery mode (animations, text, video, walk-throughs, etc.) based on understanding developed from in-depth needs analysis
  • Designs evaluation strategies and tools to measure effectiveness, and reviews evaluations to continuously improve programs
  •  

 What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated and successful training and content development experience
  • BA/BS degree in Instructional Design, Education, graphic design, or related area or equivalent in education/experience
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Basic HTML and CSS programming knowledge
  • Proficiency in multi-media tools including Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools, and eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate or other eLearning authoring software and provide portfolio examples
  • Understanding of learning technology standards, such as SCORM and AICC, that determine how eLearning courses are published, tracked, and interact in an LMS
  • Knowledge of ADDIE and a variety of adult learning/training methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills demonstrated by timely task completion and quality of deliverables
  • Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, adhere to timelines, and meet project delivery deadlines
  • Must be nimble and possess the ability to be change-adaptive with shifting priorities

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary between $60,000 and $80,000, eligibility for an annual bonus, and participation in the Founder’s Pool program.
