Position Summary

SRS Acquiom is currently seeking a Technical Writer to join the Business Technology team in Denver. This position is responsible for producing and delivering documentation such as in-product help pages, release notes, sample and tutorial instructions, stand-alone guides and internal reference documentation. Focused on delivering the highest value to our clients both internally and externally, we are highly innovative and collaborative to embrace content challenges and aren’t afraid to experiment with new technologies or content types. This team drives cross-functional alignment to create multiple types of content.
The Technical Writer that joins this team will be responsible for recommending and creating content for high-visibility initiatives that include working side-by-side with stakeholders across the enterprise. Collaborating with all partners in creating scalable, repeatable processes that will drive the content strategy for 2019, 2020 and beyond.

Primary Responsibilities

• Produces online help and other SRSA documentation. Works on strategic content projects outside of normal development feature work
• Develops rich content that complement text.
• Deep expertise in key strategic areas.
• Active collaboration with Marketing/Dev/Product/UX/Training.
• Proactively works with UX designers to improve the in-product experience.
• Talks directly with stakeholders to understand their documentation needs.
• Advocates for the team(s) and informs templates/standards.
• Participates in and structures the work to take on more strategic initiatives in addition to normal development features and stories.
• Positive influence across team/multiple functional teams.
• Develops effective and mutually benefice relationships across enterprise.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• 3+ years relevant work experience in areas of technical marketing, product documentations, and technical writing, preferably in a software company (Fintech experience a plus).
• Expertise in basic documentation software, familiarity with source control tools and basic (include language?) scripting – familiarity with a wide range of documentation and process software tools.
• Ability to understand core elements of the SRS Acquiom product suite well enough to be considered a SME and the ability to understand well enough to represent the user
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills, across all audiences, including communicating complex technical information clearly and concisely.
