Sling TV provides an over-the-top (OTT) live TV streaming service on TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other streaming devices. Distributed across a variety of strategic device partners, including Roku, Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, LG, Microsoft, Comcast, and Tivo, Sling TV offers two primary domestic streaming services that collectively include more than 100 channels of top content. Featured programmers include Disney/ESPN, Fox, NBC, AMC, A&E, EPIX, NBA TV, NHL Networks, Pac-12 Networks, Hallmark, ViacomCBS, and more.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing Manager Role:
We are seeking a Marketing leader with a strong background in fundamental marketing strategy, analytics, and media planning and optimization. The role sits at the intersection of brand and acquisition marketing, bringing the best of marketing to a portfolio of campaigns and products. From defining target audiences, to overseeing positioning and messaging, all the way through to creating media plans, analyzing reporting, and optimizing marketing plans, we're looking for a Marketing Manager who can take ownership of full funnel marketing campaigns.
This role will be responsible for leading marketing campaigns with industry leading streaming partners to create partner-specific marketing strategies. We're looking for a digitally native, strategic thinker who will be tasked with driving new subscriber growth, with the ultimate measure of success being the return on investment of budgeted media spend. The ideal candidate will develop marketing campaigns based on a deep understanding of the customer, competition, and company capabilities - rooted in data and insights. In short, the Marketing Manager will own the strategy and implementation of key marketing initiatives that build the brand and drive subscriber growth.
Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager:
- Define the target audience and buyer persona for new marketing campaigns and products - informed by primary & secondary research, behavioral data, and competition
- Own positioning and messaging for marketing campaigns, defended rigorously by data & insights (partnering with Brand and Consumer Insights teams)
- Create tactical campaign plans that include which marketing tactics will be used, media budget and goals, and promo / activation calendar for TV events
- Build strong relationships with external partners and work with said partners to optimize marketing budgets, test into new opportunities, and launch co-marketing campaigns
- Develop and execute paid media strategy through careful analysis of campaign reporting and corresponding optimization
- Manage test-and-learn plans across multiple tactics to maximize ROI
- Compile and present campaign plans and results to executives

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills for a highly cross-functional and external partner-facing role
- Experience executing paid marketing campaigns toward key KPIs (digital marketing, OTT, on-device, TV, etc.)
- Demonstrated success in planning, optimization, and test-and-learn plans for marketing campaigns
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis including return on marketing investment (ROMI)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to parse diverse data sets to reach insights and drive business action
- Experience building business cases for marketing programs and budgets
- Experience navigating a complex organization, getting buy-in from executives while maintaining relationships with colleagues to help support various initiatives
- Passion for the constantly-changing streaming TV and digital landscape with a finger on the pulse of emerging platforms and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, MBA preferred; or combination of education and relevant work experience. 7+ years of experience in marketing or marketing-related field
- Relocation reimbursement eligible to Denver area
Salary Range
Compensation: $90,000.00/Year - $141,700.00/Year
