Job Summary
The Event Marketing Manager is responsible for driving PlayerLync’s event marketing strategy. This role will lead the coordination and execution of all events, owning all aspects of managing trade shows and conferences, partner events, user conferences, and company events. This individual will be responsible for managing detailed logistics, completing event forms, developing event marketing ideas, and coordination of creatives per show. The right candidate will possess a positive, can-do attitude, will be highly detail oriented and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with marketing leadership to develop PlayerLync’s event marketing strategy, determining goals and objectives. Own the entire event process, beginning with creative ideation and securing agreements all the way through to project management and event execution. Make strategic recommendations for improving strategy and driving success. Identify and secure speaking engagements.
- Manage trade shows and conferences, partner events, user conferences, and company events by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating targeting lists.
- Event Reporting & Analytics: Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data to determine ROI and success of each event.
- Manage and maintain event budgets and project timelines
- Keep promotional materials fulfilled, coordinating requirements with designer; inventorying stock; placing orders.
- Interact and maintain relationship with cross-functional internal teams (sales, customer success, marketing, design).
Qualifications
- 3-5 years as an Event Marketing Manager in a B2B SaaS organization.
- Experience in a high-tech start-up organization
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing or communications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, marketing automation and CRM tools like HubSpot and SalesForce.com
- Some travel is required

- Must be able to effectively manage a large volume of work while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Must be a proactive, self-starter capable of working independently to manage workload as well as working effectively within a team setting.
- Calm Under Pressure: Many things can go wrong during an event, and something eventually will. Event coordinators need to remain calm during crisis and the high pressure of an event in progress.
- Computer Skills: Modern event planners rely on computers to communicate, plan, budget and organize their events.
- Negotiation Skills: Event coordinators will need negotiation skills to work out prices with clients and contractors.
- Organization: Many things happen all at once at meetings. Event coordinators need to stay focused and organized so that the event goes off without a hitch.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Inevitably, something will go wrong at an event. Being able to quickly solve the issue is required.
