Social Media Specialist
Description
We are seeking a passionate Social Media Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for leading our overall organic and paid social strategy to increase brand awareness, thought leadership reputation, and demand generation in a busy and growing advertising technology consultancy.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of using social media as a strategic communications channel to grow and engage target B2B audiences while applying data insights to deliver results. This role requires instinct and skill to tailor authentic value messaging and Challenger-style thought leadership to engage demand marketers, e-commerce professionals and the media that serves them to introduce DELVE’s unique approach to helping them grow revenue.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
- Maintain and optimize company profile and pages within each social media platform
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (text, images, videos, etc.) that builds engagement and results in action to support thought leadership and demand generation
- Maintain editorial calendars and syndication schedules for all social media content
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Lead to develop and implement DELVE’s paid social media campaigns to drive website traffic and sales leads
- Use your social listening experience to help our Marcom team develop content that resonates with our various audiences and moves them to action
- Amplify real-time news, announcements and launches and via social channels to customers, media, industry experts, partners and influencers
- Respond to questions and participate in appropriate industry online discussions and forums
- Contribute to strategic brainstorming, curation, and content creation
- Continuously improve social media performance by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics and apply the insights
- Assist internal sales team with social media best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance brand reputation
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network and support earned media and thought leadership goals.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
Requirements & Skills
- 3+ years of experience using social media to build brand awareness and thought leadership credibility inside a startup or SMB (consulting, digital or Tech sectors preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr and other social media platforms and best practices
- Experience using social media monitoring, engagement and analytics platforms
- Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), tagging and communication skills
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
- Experience applying audience and buyer persona research to social media communications
- Self-starter and multi-tasker able to meet deadlines
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player and strong interpersonal skills
- Good time-management skills
- Experience with video production is a plus
