Our Social Media Specialist will be the owner, operator and expert for our online brand presence across all of our social channels.

Mission of this Position:

Your mission as the Social Media Specialist will be to create, monitor, and optimize social content. You will engage in the ongoing hemp-specific social discussion. Your overarching goal is long-reaching brand awareness and helping to establish Zera as an industry subject matter expert.

Outcomes You’ll be Responsible for:

  • Help convert our brand fans into loyal customers with engaging, responsive, responsible, surprising, and captivating social media interactions
  • Help move conversations from online (social media) to offline (email, phone)
  • Write long- and short-form social media messages that are fresh and engaging to attract new users and engage current users
  • Use data to analyze what’s working, what’s not, and reinforce or refocus key messages accordingly
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our market and clients
  • Identify key players in the hemp and CBD industry and strategically engage 
  • Monitor industry news and current events to identify opportunities for enhancing the company’s brand awareness via having a voice in the current online conversation 
  • Provide key information and suggestions to Marketing and Product teams for ongoing business enhancement

Job Requirements:

Ideally, you will have a blend of the following job-specific skills and experience. Experience in all the areas below is not required, but these or related areas of experience are desirable:

  • Experience in day-to-day execution of a social media strategy
  • Ability to create, track and optimize content 
  • Ability to create basic social media designs / visual communications
  • Platform Experience might include: Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, G Suite, LinkedIn/Twitter/Facebook/Instagram, Google Analytics, Hubspot, etc. 
  • 3 years in marketing or a related field 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field (or equivalent in work experience)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Methodical and organized approach; Attention to detail
  • Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Must be a self-starter, be OK with asking questions and bringing ideas to the table 
  • Highly organized team player
  • Flexible and adaptive in the face of changing priorities, deadlines, and focus in a dynamic work environment
  • Passion for hemp and the community is highly preferred

Additionally, you must have authorization to work in the US.

This is mainly a remote role, though we do have periodic in-person meetings in the Greater Denver area.
