The Social Media Strategist is a hands-on execution role that requires expert-level knowledge of social and digital marketing strategy and a strong creative background to help our clients stand out. You will own the process, from the evaluation and audits of client social programs and platforms to the development of the social media strategies and the implementation of tactics. You will also represent the social media team on all pre-sales calls, proposals, and presentations. You’ll be working with different clients representing many industries while doing work that requires creativity and strategic thinking to connect our clients to their communities.

Job Description

  • Conduct and deliver audits outlining opportunities for better engagement and optimization within clients’ targeted social platforms
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Responsible for designing, presenting, and implementing social media strategies and campaigns that are customized to our client’s unique goals, audiences, and brand requirements
  • Oversee and own multiple clients’ social media profiles simultaneously and ensure copy, graphics, and overall visual aesthetics reflect each brand 
  • Create multiple content calendars per month, including research, copywriting, graphic creation, scheduling, and analyzing monthly results
  • Create engaging copy and creative to run successful social media campaigns 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Monitor and respond to clients’ social media users on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Set specific objectives and measure, optimize and assess on KPIs and ROI of our social media efforts
  • Communicate the success of social media through analytics and metrics reports to help determine long-term social media strategy and needs as well as to benchmark and analyze the effectiveness of social media activity beyond just "likes"
  • Oversee social media accounts’ configuration and design (e.g., Facebook timeline cover, Instagram highlights, profile pictures, company information, etc.)
  • Suggest and implement new campaigns to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications, and be able to have a strong point of view on the future of social and digital media, thinking about how it applies to our clients
  • Be an expert on the products, competition, industry, marketing goals, and objectives of each of the clients you work with

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to engage and leverage industry influencers in support of client campaigns and objectives
  • Support Account Services and New Business in helping to pitch social media capabilities
  • Manage Fruition’s social media strategy and efforts
  • Create and document processes for scalable growth
  • Assist with the hiring and training of future team members

Required Key Skills and Education

  • BS/BA in Marketing or related field with demonstrated experience working on multiple stages of the digital customer journey
  • 3-5 years of proven experience creating and executing social media strategies for multiple accounts to drive measurable results
  • Professional social media experience managing multiple brands and/or accounts
  • 2 years+ experience with design platforms such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva (or others)
  • Experience with social media tools such as Sprout Social
  • Understanding of UTM tracking with hands-on experience setting up and validating social tracking pixels
  • 3-5 years of experience with social media KPIs, analytics, and tracking
  • Expertise with Google Analytics to provide insights in regards to social campaigns and strategies
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write copy that follows best practices for various social media platforms
  • Experience presenting ideas and marketing plans to clients
  • Understanding of current trends, online culture, and confidence in your execution of it
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple client accounts and campaigns simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details, efficient work habits, and overall flexibility with a high level of autonomy
  • Ability to travel (1-2 times quarterly)

Bonus skills and experience:

  • Photography/videography experience 
  • Knowledge of paid media channels' capabilities and best practices, specifically on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, etc., and the ability to develop paid media strategies 
  • Agency or client services experience

Salary Range

  • $70,000-$90,000 total annual base salary plus bonus, commensurate with experience, skills, education, tenure, and/or training
